Is Texas really a possible blue flip? I remember all that talk in 2016 and 2018 that the blue wave was coming and people thought Texas could go blue for the first time in forever, but it didn't happen. I'm honestly asking because I don't know, how close was it the last two elections?

Just saw this after I posted above. Every poll I have seen recently has it as a toss up. If its within the margin of error Id think it stays red. I cant help but think its close to a purple state now.

Out of those who cast votes, Of that 43.5%, 73% cast their ballots early or absentee and 26% voted on Election Day. This year early voting in Texas despite the pandemic ends today Oct 30. But early voting was extended a week and a straight ticket voting option was ended.

There are a lot more registered voters in 2020 than 2016. Trump won Texas in 2016 by 9 percent. Two years later, Beto won 60% of the city vote and lost by 2+ percent.

The most recent figures I found were Texas's population grew by nearly 400,000 from mid-2016 to mid-2017.

Uhhhh yeah... there is a big difference. You act like he spoke at the funeral of some KKK head honcho, when in reality he and a bunch of other people spoke at Senator Byrd’s funeral. Senator Byrd is famous for RENOUNCING his ties to the KKK and supporting civil rights. He was a conservative person from West Virginia but aligned Democrat because he was pro-worker and pro-union. Anyways, this is what the NAACP said after his passing:
