Why do Georgia prospects fit in at ND better than California Catholic school kids? I was at an Orange Co ND Club game watch in '14 or '15 and if I remember this correctly, it was said OC had the largest freshman class entering ND that year of any county in the US.

Don't doubt it. California is the second most represented state in this yea'rs freshman class behind Illinois. Between that and the USC/Stanford rivalries, I highly highly highly doubt we're planning to stop recruiting California any time soon.

If he does show up, I'd set him down to look at TE-U highlights from the last 5 draft picks but instead load Justin Tuck and Stephon Tuitt's highlights and tell em, "There's a lot more $$$ at DE."

Interview the day after he made his top 8. Originally was going to be a top 7 but threw in Oregon at the last minute. Bama and Tennessee will definitely get OV's. Lot's of love for the SEC overall in the interview. Couldn't remember the name of the Linebackers coach from ND whom he had just gotten off the phone with. Doesn't necessarily mean anything as he couldn't remember the final Pac-12 school that was on his list which was USC until the interviewer reminded him. Will be interesting to see if we get an OV.

Apparently IE's search function doesn't recognize the apostrophes.

Probably just a hat on the table to make the nuns at DLS happy but To'oto'o hasn't released enough info to get a solid read on. In the end, breath not held.

Watched his film nothing crazy jumped out. I think there are other guys out there at DE that could offer before this kid like JJ Weaver, Duke Olges etc. Kind of surprised.

I either didn't add him to the Master List or I purged him this spring. Normally I'd keep the OH prospects on there even if they are marginal because ya never know who's gonna take that big leap from year to year and Ohio is ND friendly. I did add him to a list MIA made last season about DE's but that's it. His film stood out enough to get a mention when he was still unrated but that's it.

Why we're not circling back with George Karaf-??? from Indiana is beyond me.

Maybe he's overrated as a 5-star, #12 overall. But he's sure as hell a lot better than the projects we're going to find at the bottom of the barrel.

I agree. There are guys out there that aren't at his level but they aren't as low as this kid.

As far as I know, this is just like what Loy did with QB's. He's just notifying his readers of guys they are tracking. We only actually offered 1 of the 6+ guys Loy brought to the 247 board as QB options. Probably wait to see what happens before making a big deal out of it.

Looking at Kevin Sinclair's recent articles about offensive and defensive finishes for the class, he seems to be leaning toward the staff being very specific going forward. They aren't going to reach on guys. I am curious if the staff is going to wait and see how the season goes and then start flipping guys or try to lure any decommits, rather than go after non committed projects.

I'd be all over Gabe Newburg behind the scenes. Michigan's gonna have 5 DE's above himn in this class and still a good chance to get Harrison out of Ohio. That's expecting Herron to go to Stanford too... which is another story.

Still love my guy JJ Weaver down in the Ville add 250 lb swiss army knife, Duke Olges.
