Hot takes after the first Quarter.
1. Book is far ahead of Phil
2. Running backs all look good
3. WR is going to be deep
4. D line is going to be deep
5. Freshman Punter needs a lot of work

Nice kick by Bramblett there. College punters generally range from inconsistent to terrible, so we're no different than most of the country. Replacing Newsome and Yoon is going to come with some headaches and growing pains.

Jurkovec's throwing motion is... something else. Yikes. Not saying he can't grow into an elite college QB, but that is concerning.

The RBs look good. Kyren is a damn bowling ball. I love watching this kid run. There is definitely a lack of speed in the group, but there is enough explosiveness on the outside to make up for it.

Is it just me or do they look huge? There are some big ole boys out there, they look big anyway.

So were not even going to practice one deep ball today? That's the only think Book needs to be in there to do. We know hes the checkdown king. Why not work on efficiencies?

Jalen Elliot blitzed and ran about 30 yards for the blitz. Then he ran another 25 yards to cause the fumble. Dudes a stud.

If you guys are looking for something to watch, watch Bilal get absolutely swallowed by single blocks.

Never felt better about my odds against him in an Oklahoma drill.

I thought they looked a little slow at first but they seem to be more crisp now.

Simon hasn’t been perfect but he’s flashed for sure.
DJ Brown had a horrible angle in that deep ball to Claypool. No way that happens with Gilman. That would have been a PBU

NBCsn just had a graphic of our upcoming "nonconference" games over the next few years (UGA, Wisco, Arkansas, Bama).

Nonconference lol

How many times has Phil taken a sack? He’s got a lot of work to do this summer seeing he’s only 1 play from being a starter.

Our offense and pass rush should be a sight to behold come fall so long as we stay healthy.

Our punting game is going to be putrid. And to all the PJ defenders out there, is it still too early to be worried about his development? You all were crushing people for raising concerns in the Spring Practice thread.

At times he looked lost and overwhelmed, at other times he looked good and in control. Just about what you’d expect from a true freshman. Nothing alarming to me about his performance.

I expected him to take less than 11 sacks...
About half those sacks were either touches after he released, or probably broken arm tackles.

With that said, he definitely needs to work on pocket awareness. Just pointing out that "11 sacks" is misleading.
