...has Mustipher played a single meaningful down? How can you say he's an upgrade lol. That said if he is 90% as good as Martin we will be fine up front.

Because a healthy Mustipher is better than a constantly banged up Martin. If Martin was healthy, then I'd take him and his experience, but he's dealt with some form of injury that has greatly hindered his play in all three seasons that he's started.

You get on him about an unknown and then you say that? What if everyone they try at RG stinks? Then it's subtraction by an addition of a negative.

I know it's not directed at me, but my thinking about the RG situation is that, Elmer was clearly the weak link on the offensive line that last 2 years. He can't pull effectively and he's almost useless against faster, athletic interior linemen. I'm more than willing to test Hiestand's ability to coach up a guy with bigger upside and more athleticism and fit him in at Guard.

It's great to guess about the year this far out...as recent summers have taught us, NOT SO FAST. But, everything being equal, ND is set up to have a great year, and if things go their way a 12-0 and Playoff berth are realistic.

2016 Season ... A look ahead

I'm gonna be a turd and peg this year at a 10 win ceiling, and 8 win floor, counting the bowl game.

If you believe like I that HH knows his ch!t then Elmer was better than anyone on last year's roster available for RG (minus maybe Bars) or he would have had them in there. That leaves me forced to hope that Kraemer, Eichenberg or P-Money is better as a non-EE, true freshman than Elmer was last year or that Bivin or McGovern have taken not one but two steps forward.

That's logical, right?

I think they are going to be one of the nations best lines once again, closer to the best than average and I think McGovern is the starter at RG. I do think that Elmer started last year for a reason. Far be it of me to question HH when it comes to putting the best unit, if not the best individual players, on the field.

That's right, however, IIRC, Bivin and McGovern were being practiced primarily as Tackles, as Bars was the next man in at Guard last season. So I think Bivin and McGovern should be more desirable at Guard now that they're focusing on that position primarily.

All I'm saying is HH had them where he thought they were best at. I can't argue with that. I'm not worried about it for this year. I think Bivin and McGovern will be fine in their roles this year and I'll add this nugget... one of them (Bivin), maybe both grad transfer after next year.
