Best guess at top ten Q2 fundraisers ($Millions):

Bush $119.4 ($103 from Super Pacs)
Clinton $ 69.0 ($23 from Super Pacs)
Cruz $ 52.0 ($38 from Super Pacs)
Rubio $ 43.9 ($16.1 from Super Pacs)
Walker $ 26.5 ($20 from Super Pacs)
Perry $ 18.0 ($17 from Super Pacs)
Sanders $ 15.0 ($0 from Super Pacs)
Paul $ 12.0 ($5 from Super Pacs)
Kasich $11.5 ($0 from Super Pacs)
Christie $ 11.0 ($11 from Super Pacs)

I find it interesting that Kasich has that much having just announced and not having a Super Pac yet. Bernie Sanders at $15 million without a Super Pac. Bush with over $100 million in Super Pac money - yeah, he's not the rich man's candidate - lol
And what's up with the poor numbers for Rand Paul; he is way behind where his dad would be. Clinton is lower in Super Pac than I thought she would be. And wow at Ted Cruz, frickin' hypocrite (Mr. Super Pac, and funded by a guy who owes the government $Billions in unpaid taxes) - do not like this man.

Based upon those numbvers I'd like to see a Sanders vs. Kasich race. Kasich has just entered the race, so he may take PAC money as time goes on. But at this point Sanders and Kasich are the only candidates who don't owe a PAC any favors. Wouldn't it be nice to have a president who thinks about the American people first?

And on your second thought, I do not care for Ted Cruz either. He's way out in left field with Donald Trump. He says whatever will keep the cameras rolling.

No matter who anyone wants to win, it is digusting how much money is influencing our elections. The real fundraising has not even begun and already there are hundreds of millions of dollars in play. Gross!

It really shows who is working for who. We have people like Sanders who will probably not take a dime from SuperPACs and speak about income inequality. Then we have people like Hilary who talk about income inequality but her pockets are being lined by the very wealthy who oppose it.

I think the phrase "for the people, by the people" should be changed to "for the people, by the elite" is now common theme. SCOTUS should be ashamed for selling out the American people.

Meanwhile you have morons fighting for flags while politicians do what is in the best interest of their donors. Seems like meaningless distractions provide blinders for politicians track record. How many young people really follow politics?

Kasich 2016!

He's definitely a moderate, listen to this and tell me it's a normal Republican:

But could you really give the GOP control of Congress? I dunno...

That makes me want to vote with him 100xs more! Practical solutions to every day issues. When you look beyond the headline, you see its actually pretty republican. (Minus common core)

Here's an interesting read :

I don't want Trump to be the GOP candidate, nor would I want to see him as President. But I'll still give him credit for talking about an important issue that 99% of politicians are afraid to talk about.

When Trump tops polls, you out Trump him. At least that is Mike Huckabees thinking. What a moron.

Huckabee defends claim that Iran deal will 'march Israelis to oven door' | World news | The Guardian

You are so right. For those of you familiar with the Irish troubles, Huckabee reminds me a lot of Ian Paisley. Create as much fear as you can and try to make yourself look important.

Let's not negotiate with a country that could actually help stem the rise of ISIS. Let's start another war and leave a void so Islamic terrorists can fill the gap. Haven't we learned anything from our mistakes in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Libya? Nothing in the Iran deal prevents the US from intervening militarily should the Iranians fail to keep their part of the bargain. I'm sorry Huckabee, most of the world wants nothing to do with your Fundamentalist Christian view of the world. We're not buying into your fear-mongering.

This is how the republican curse in national elections begins every four years. They try to out-stupid one another and pretty soon the whole party pays the price for a few desperate wannabe candidates trying to get traction on the big stage. I am really, really looking forward to a debate that features Trump, Huckabee and Cruz. I feel bad for the serious candidates in the GOP.

“We cannot live with al Qaeda, but we might be able to live with a contained Iran. Iran will not acquire nuclear weapons on my watch. But before I look parents in the eye to explain why I put their son's or daughter's life at risk, I want to do everything possible to avoid conflict. We have substantive issues to discuss with Tehran." — Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, 2008

He "evolved" like so many politicians do. I actually think he was ok on some issues until he started doing the TV thing. It tends to make people more extreme because all you hear from are people who agree...pretty soon ya got your own mini echo chamber...and that leads to bad things. Plus politicians who run need to run against something...

I still think everyone on the republican side who hasn't run a state should GTFO of the race. I'm sorry but I just do not like Congress people in the game...at all.

I'd prefer Governors, and would accept a CEO of a certain type...thats about it for me. I've made one exception...John McCain, and he was just the lesser of two Horrible evils...at least he had military experience.

I'd actually think that in a debate with Trump, Cruz, and Huckabee present it can make Jeb look reasonable not to mention presidential. I think Bush can also handle a field like this much better than Romney could. Jeb was a much more conservative governor than Romney was and that's going to come through in the debates whereas it isn't as of yet. The majority of the GOP field is going to canibalize itself while Jeb cleans up in the money game (he's already out-raising everyone, HRC included). Meanwhile there looks to be a credible threat to HRC in Bernie Sanders, who while he isn't going to win the nomination, he is going to force her to tack to the left. How far to the left she has to go to win over his supporters will tell the tale for how she'll do in the general. Her poll numbers as they relate to trust are almost a disaster and I'm not sure what someone who's been in the public eye for 25 years does to change that narrative.

If I were a betting man, I'd put money on Jeb taking the oath of office in January 2017.

Trump is empowering every Hispanic to go out and vote against the Republican Party. Fox News, Roger Ailes, and Rush have all but supported Trump which is making the party look bad. Trump will not go away until Ailes and Co say he goes away. Meanwhile, other GOP candidates are getting tired of answering Trump questions which gives him even more coverage.

It will be interesting to see if Jeb can get out of the shadow of his last name. Out of all the GOP candidates, I think Rubio has the charisma to carry an election. But then again, do we really want a POTUS with zero foriegn policy experience again.

My money is on Hilary, the liberal media is going to swoon over the first female POTUS.

I think it is Hillary's to lose as well...we'll see how much help she gets. I saw CNN do a little introspection after Mr. Obama was elected. I think they saw the flaw in getting on the "First XYZ" bandwagon. The networks showed no remorse, and the little handicapped cable news channel (MSNBC) was glad to be relevant for a second...chills down the leg and all.

Its really weird that you would say that, because I seem to remember that going into that election, Romney was made out by the press and the Democrats as just about the most far right extremist to ever try to be elected president.

He wasn't. And neither was McCain prior to the election. But they ran to the right during the primaries and picked extreme running mates. Then they were stuck.
