What is there not to understand here? Kid like this was born to go to Stanford. It’s impressive we ever led.

Well, considering the outcome, I think it means we never really did. If ND actually led, I doubt he's committing this early without a return OV. Sounds like Rivals had some bad intel or once that intel got out, mom and dad put it on lock down. So we never really had a chance.

But it is funny how people lose there shit over this. Reverse the roles. What are the odds that a top 150 prospect that is an ND legacy and was born/raised in IN would go to Stanford? Probably pretty damn small.

Yeah it's hard to believe ND ever lead at all. Rivals was getting bad Intel somewhere. And with a kid like this why even report a slight lead?

Probably because it achieved exactly what they wanted it to, at the time. A bunch of clicks and traffic. Even if they knew it was sketchy intel, they probably didn't expect it to blow up in their face this fast, lol.

I'm not surprised Rivals did it. Their track record lately is crap

A team that's trending downward, Playing in front of an empty stadium, Nothing exciting at QB, and a top education. I understand he probably grew up liking them but sometimes you have to see that this isn't the best opportunity at the time.

It pains me to say but Stanford's future QB depth looks better than ND's at the moment.

Even with ND having Phil, Ckark, Pyne, and Tyler? We dont need 4 or 5 stars in every class, that will just lead to transfers anyway. I think Phil and Tyler are the expected QB's from 2020-2024 but Clark and Pyne are talented enough to be productive if they are needed.

1 of the 3 studs (from 16, 17, 18) will be gone.
and no 19 commit... , or 20 or 21 commits.
I like the spacing of PJ and TB just fine. That is, unless one or both turn out to be fool's gold.

They have Tanner McKee joining the program in 2020 after his mission and they are the odds on favorite to get 4.75* Jay Butterfield in '20. And they will get a '21 stud. With ND landing Buchner, ND dreamers Rubley and McCarthy both make sense on & off the field for the Trees.

ND and Stanford are both in great shape.

I hope they land a '21 stud so they stay the #### away from Buchner. I'm sure he is solid in his choice but his signing day is a long ways away.

Remember... not the typical Cali kid. Chicago born, parents are non-westcoaster's w/ eastcoast educations.

Plus, he's an athlete who likes to run. ND allows him to play his game. Stanford is old school pocket passers. Football wise, Buchner would have been better off at OU or Clemson vs. Stanford. ND was his only choice when it came to selecting an on & off the field institution.

Really hope that holds true
