Definitely interviews well. Interesting prospect. Saw some good reps of him at a camp (maybe the opening) vs some well known OL's.

Dad's an LA guy but he played at Utah so hopefully that tempers the SC = Dream School Syndrome so many Cali players are afflicted with. In early interviews, Carlton names Utah as his dream school.

Stanford is lurking, so that hurdle may be introduced down the line.

Modesto Christian is 9-0 with the best record in their conference. They are one of the better teams in Division VI so its highly unlikely that Carlton will be able to make it to ND this fall as the FSU game that they are targeting comes on the 10th of November. Really have to work to get him to a January-March 2019 Junior day and then back for an OV at some point next year. That's really the only way to make Cali kids comfortable enough with ND is to get them on campus more than once when they can freely visit many of the west coast schools so often. I would love to add the kid!

Notre Dame is a school Carlton consistently mentions and has talked about wanting to visit soon. He was excited when he landed the offer from the Irish and Mike Elston has made a strong early impression. Carlton’s father played at Utah, but his grandfather was a Notre Dame fan. He’s visited Utah, Arizona State and Cal in the past and Oregon is a school to watch now that the Ducks have offered.
