Going to our first game together (my 2nd). Any tips for gameday activities on campus? Parking (affordable/nearby)?
I’ve found free parking on the streets south of campus before. It was for a late November game and it was a bit of a hike so I would caution you unless you’re up for the walk.

Gotta catch the player walk and the trumpets at main building.

I hope you have a great time. It will be more exciting with here there with you.

We have parked at the golf course and holy cross. It was so easy both places.

Posted this in another thread:
In my opinion I still like using the Park Whiz app. I've used it twice now to park at Ascent Hospice on Edison. It's 2 blocks east of the Linebacker, so only like a 20 minute walk from the stadium. It used to be cheaper, but now it looks like it's $40 for the Syracuse game. The nice part is the last few times I've parked there they will drive you to campus and drop you off at no charge, so you're only walking one way. You also get right on the road after the game, no waiting on traffic.
[EDIT] Still says "Parking and Shuttle Service" so it looks like they do still drive you to campus and save you at least one walk.

As far as gameday activities there's the players walk. I like checking out the bagpipe performance at the dome around 11:30 (Check for times, it's usually 4 hours before kickoff). My favorite tradition (Now that Trumpets Under The Dome isn't inside anymore) is to follow the band into the stadium right before the game.

Hope ya'll have a great time!

parking at Holy Cross College is great because the walk naturally takes you through all the sights. First the lakes, then the grotto, basilica, then dome. Good spot to warm up/use the facilities is then LaFortune. Exit the back side of there and you’re pretty much at Hesburgh Library

The band marches into the stadium about 45 min. before kickoff, that always gets me pumped up and is tradition of my Dad and I's.

Have a good time!

Enjoy! I've always parked on the south or east side of campus. There are a ton of side streets with free parking and about a 15/20 minute walk to the stadium.

Parking east off campus in residential backyards...lots of big lots where cost is 10-30 dollars. Enjoy the game! Took my son to Navy game and we had a blast!

I thought you parked at the Freeman's and rode with Marcus?
