“I’m open to anywhere in the country,” Wilson said. “I was born in Chicago, then raised in Ohio. So, I have a lot of connections up there. I do like it up there.”

In the coming weeks, the Lake Travis star will be in the Midwest to visit a few of his top schools.

“I plan on visiting Notre Dame in March,” Wilson said. “I don’t have a set date yet, but I plan to visit a few North schools in March – Notre Dame and Ohio State being the schools I want to visit.

“I’d say I probably have about eight schools I like a lot and (Notre Dame is) in there. Notre Dame is definitely one of the schools I’ll be looking into.”

Interestingly enough, his family has some history with Kelly and Company. When he lived in Ohio, his brother was recruited by Cincy and Kelly. Apparently the brother and family have fond memories of that.

One downside to this visit is he interviewed with Tom Loy, spoke about how he loved the visit and Loy immediately threw down a CB to Ohio St or Texas. Not ideal

He’s down to OSU and Texas for OV’s.

I’m not as down on WR recruiting as others. I like some of the guys we are after more than others and I really like last cycles class. However, this kid is really good, IMO. A small bummer here.

Joe Ngata loved his visit, hopefully Del can pull a Braden Lenzy move on Ngata and steal him away from the Pacific Northwest. Jake Smith’s dad is a huge ND fan which is good. Very curious how Dylan Wright likes his visit this weekend cause he did IU, OSU, Michigan, ND in one trip. Zion Pucket is a sleeper that I think we could blow away on a visit (high academic Stanford/Vandy offers). TJ Sheffield has us in his top 5. John Metchie is poised to be blown away on his visit cause that dude has said some wonderful things about ND. ND leads for Cornelius Johnson. Overall, it’s not filled with ND-ND-leads-kids like the DL or OL but it’s a promising start and we probably only need 2-3 guys so stockpiling numbers isn’t the biggest issue this cycle.

I agree. Plus 2020 receivers are going to be all top guys. AJ Henning, gee scott, johnson etc
