Phenomenal retention!

I thought was someone was on the board earlier this week about how all the upperclassmen are leaving due to Freeman's comments? I guess just not the best ones...

Someone on a podcast, I think it was Pete Sampson, was talking about how important it was to get the dominating interior guys in recruiting and stressed how it’s easier to do that if you are recruiting well in the southeast. There was an insinuation that geography makes it easier for SEC teams to get these guys and why it hurts so bad not to land Justin Scott last cycle.

However, high schools of the guys on the list:
1. Mason Graham: Servite - Anaheim, CA
2. Deone Walker: Cass Tech - Detroit, MI
3. Howard Cross: St Joseph Regional - Montvale, NJ
4. Peter Woods: Thompson -Alabaster, AL
5. Tyleik Williams: Unity Reed - Manassas, VA
6. Kenneth Grant: Merrillville High -Merrillville, IN
7. Dontay Corleone: Colerain -Cincinnati, OH
8. Tonka Hemingway: Conway - Conway, SC
9. Aeneas Peebles: Knightdale - Knightdale, NC
10. Rylie Mills: Lake Forest - Lake Forest, IL

Only 2 of the 10 are from states with an SEC team, including their new additions. Even in the 2024 draft class, 4 of the top 10 or so prospects are from Michigan, Indiana, or Ohio with Fiske, Darius Robinson, Michael Hall, and Ruke Orhoroho.

Point being, there is interior talent everywhere. We’ve got national talent at the position now, let’s continue stacking prospects and develop them instead of wringing our hands about how we can make inroads in “SEC country”
