Jeremy Birmingham, Land of 10 Reporter, with a CB to Mizzou. Maybe the Zach Smith thing is going to hurt OSU's chances with Marcus Washington. Maybe ND could even get back in the mix as an alternative to the leading Buckeyes.

Smith was not only the WR coach but his regional areas were StL and S. Fla.

Interesting that OSU has (had?) a recruiter with regional responsibility for St. Louis. (Though maybe how they beat us for Ezekiel Elliott?) There's a pretty decent base of prospects there, especially if you include the east side. But no one really owns it.
Mizzou has long under-recruited there. And while Illinois gets kids from E STL and Edwardsville, Illinois is terrible at football. It's driveable to South Bend, and with all the big Catholic schools you'd think we'd do more. But aside from Jonathan Bonner and, now, Kyren Williams, not so much. So go after this kid and change that.

2018
.9666 DL Ronnie Perkins - OFFER - Oklahoma
.9638 DL Michael Thompson - NO OFFER - Oklahoma
..9629 WR Kamryn Babb - OFFER - Ohio State
.9115 DL Trevor Trout - NO OFFER - USC
.8971 WR Cameron Brown - NO OFFER - Ohio State

2019
.9585 WR Isaiah Williams - OFFER - Illinois
.9400 WR Jameson Williams - NO OFFER
.9327 WR Marcus Washington - OFFER
.9104 LB Shammond Cooper - OFFER
.9058 DB Jalani Williams - OFFER
.9008 WR Cameron Coleman - NO OFFER
.8898 OL Jack Buford - NO OFFER - Mizzou
.8851 RB Kyren Williams - OFFER - Notre Dame
.8477 DL MJ Anderson - OFFER

Now this is just a quickly made list and doesn’t include every prospect from St. Louis but rather only the highest rated ones and you can see Notre Dame has doubled their offer output in St. Louis from 3 to 6 in two classes. Now that isn’t much but I do think the staff does see St. Louis as a bit of an untapped market. Oklahoma has had a bit of success there and while I don’t think 2018 gave ND a lot of results and neither will 2019, I think that getting the coaches to increase their relationships in St. Louis can only be beneficial due to the fact that it is drivomg distance to Notre Dame and also has quite a few catholic schools to dip into for talent.

Time for him to get a phone call from the ND staff. He’d be the best skill player in ND’s class.

Lack of interest? Hurdles? Both?

OSU wasn't ND's only problem, Mizzou and Texas were also. This wasn't ever a thing.

Now if you want to work a target... send Dirksen and Kizer over to bale some alfalfa with Stover. That's crootin.
