Isn't this game essentially the title? 4 scores is a lot

And?

I was being conservative that they would be four scores up. Honestly surprised it was THAT close.

I coach at this level. Lost regionals to the team that got smacked by Pioneer. (They have had better teams and so have we.) My estimate was honestly conservative.

My college teammate coaches pioneer and I can tell u they didn't expect to beat them by 4 scores. But u clearly knew better.

Lol. He was being modest.

Jack Kiser is the best 1A football player ever maybe. By the end of next week he'll own more than a handful of records I think.

Sorry if I came off like an ass in my second post last night. This is a guy's weekend so we had ventured to the well long before that.

Anyways, Pioneer with Kiser and crew has the ability to pound the ball and you can keep it close, but only for a while. Eventually they will wear you down and Kiser's elite athleticism for that level will shine through. (Those other kids are dang good too though.)

Kiser will have started 58 high school games. That has to be a record.

Kiser was born to play football. Hopefully, it transfers to the next level. Does anyone else see the next Drew Tranquill type player?

They expected to win. But Adams Central had been putting points on the board so I think they expected them to keep pace more than they did.

You certainly would have better idea than me with first hand experience. I was honestly surprised by ur prediction based on my conversation with him and seeing some of the results through out the year.

Jack is legit tho. Why do I want him to get the ball in his hands at college level somehow? Punt returner?

Kiser had 28 carries for 294 yds and 3 tds, was 5-5 passing for 2 tds, had a forced fumble and fumble recovery and finished with 18 tackles and the Adams Central webcast said "they just don't see ND recruit, great athlete tho"

Adams central fans are almost as bad as fvck Michigan fans.

Guess they aren't in his track regional/semi-state. Maybe that 10.9 100m at 6-2/210 would have changed their minds? Elite physical pkg. Best raw athletic talent of ND's LB's.

So if you're Kiser, how do you feel about the Bertrand addition?

Do you think Kizer with be a STs monster next year?

As to your Q, I don't think Kizer will worry. I think some kids already on the roster might be asking some Qs right now. That's 9 guys for 2 spots (mike and buck) with JR or more eligibility as of the start of next year (assuming no defections).

He might be a welcome addition to the RB room. That would be a stacked position group.

Brought that up in Bertrand's thread. Physically, a lot like Ryan Nall or maybe the next Brad Muster! Or maybe not.

OK, so I saw someone post this in the comment section of an article written on JD Bertrand's commitment:

Jack Kiser is one of six finalists for the Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship Program for Cass County which provides Full Tuition and money to cover books for four years to any Indiana college. It does NOT cover room and board. One item of note is that financial need is NOT a criteria in the selection process. So the fact that Kiser already has a full ride scholarship from ND will not be a negative.

If Kiser wins the Lilly Scholarship and had other outside scholarships to help cover room and board, theoretically he could give up his football scholarship.

Super smart savvy player
This kid is extremely versatile and personally I'm not entirely sold that he will end up at linebacker.
Could play safety/rover or may end up in offensive role has great hands
Was booming punts warming up Friday terrific hang time

Good kid. And yup, I don't care if it's LB, RB, WR, Punter, etc..
I think he'll be a STs bad ass from day one.

I seriously doubt he's worried about the addition of JD. I see Kiser more Rover/Buck, while JD feels more Mike/Buck to me. Who the hell knows though. Whatever position they land in, I just want the 3 best LBs on the field. Both great kids.

Personally I see Kiser as the outright steal of this class....he is anuber athletic LB that has a high football IQ.

He is the kind of player that goes to Iowa and ends up a mid first round pick in 4 years.

Really like Kiser and Iowa has a good developmental program but how many LB's are Iowa putting in the mid 1st rd?

They've only ever had 1 LB selected in the first rd. and that was Chad Greenway in 2006. I get the point but it's not like they produce elite LB's every draft. Some good ones, but not like that.

Haha...exactly. I was thinking Greenway when I wrote the post. I thought using Kuechley a little too grandiose.

But the point being, if Kiser went to Purdue he would be a stud very early because he would be too good a football player to keep off the field.

Guys like Kiser fall through the cracks every recruiting cycle because of some irrelevant issue. In Kiser's case he plays at the lowest level of competition. To me, a football player is a football player.

Food for thought.....the level of football Kiser plays if far far better than the level of football Claypool played in High School. Kiser far outperformed Claypool's High School performance.

I'm going with the Colin Schooler comparo. I saw Schooler at Mission Viejo, great two way player that I wanted ND to make a run at. He's got like 120 tkls, 25 TFL's and 3 Int's with 2 games to play.

In some ways, Kiser's taking a BIG risk coming to ND. There's a lot of schools where he would have been playing right away, like Schooler at Zona. At ND he's gonna have to find his position and then duke it out with various All Americans.

IMO it is similar to the risk Claypool took
