gotcha, was thinking he wasnt part of the 2017 class and got confused! I hope to god ND stays as a 4-3 for the reason that interior DL is very weak as it is

Great kid, great fit, and solid addition. Extremely glad he'll be a Golden Domer.

However, I agree with this new ranking, and have for awhile now. High floor/low ceiling type of ILB.

This. Lacks athleticism and speed to get to the edge against high schoolers: how will he fair against Georgia, USC, and Michigan? Let's hope Longo develops his speed. Good player but definitely overrated in his previous rankings.

Longo will have him down to 180lbs by week 1. Physics dictate he will be much quicker.

Well... someone had to say it.

Ah yes... Fans complain we don't have enough guys that play physically. Fans then complain when a recruit does that because he isn't fast enough. I love Notre Dame football.

Because you must be one or the other, never both right? A lot of complaining goes on on this board but showing concern is what I was doing. Like I said, I like him but when speed and pass coverage is questioned in HS it'll become a huge liability in College. Can't really be physical with guys running past you. But I think he'll improve in both areas before he starts

Thanks for this. The level of negativity on this site and throughout Notre dame fandom in general never ceases to amaze me. This kid is a great MLB from a great program. He has a few things to work on as do all kids coming out of high school.

I wouldn't read to much into his play recently.

We don't know what his health is currently. We don't know if he has some undisclosed injury that could be slowing him down.

Yep. If you watch his Jr. Season Hufl film, he certainly shows good speed. This kid is the #2 MLB in the country.
