This is the shit that really upsets me. BK's inevitable firing will cost the next coach, and years of ND football. Cut the cord. Burn the boat.

It feels like Ohio State, Penn State, and Michigan are going to take everyone they want now and ND can't do anything about it because, to be frank, there is a dumpster fire in South Bend.

I am slowly moving into the "burn it, all of it" camp and pining for Swarbrick and Kelly to go. ND needs a football guy as AD not a lawyer.

This is what happens when we get our wish and OSU's 5 star parade gets tripped up. Browning started to trend to Bama over the past two weeks and picked up a handful more CB's yesterday morning. Add to that Antjuan Simmons' case of looking around and OSU went to raid the nearest 4 star recruit. I didn't realize how bad the '17 class of LB's in OH was. Had they lost Simmons they'd have had no OLB's in the class unless you consider Isaiah Pryor lock to move there from safety.

If it sticks, this really sucks. I think Pete's got NFL potential and would have been playing a lot in year 2 challenging any upperclassmen for snaps with no chance of ever getting buried like he'll risk in Columbus.

Not landing Meyer in 04 might be the biggest f-up in the history of the program, in terms of a blown opportunity. We haven't had a win like OSU had last Saturday since 1993.

Boys better get used to this. ND football is in a really, really bad place right now and Im sure will be for a while now. Jack isnt doing jack and even if they fire BK after next year, that will be 3-4 years of down football since the new coach will have to rebuild and dewimp the program.

Don't blame the kid at all. This is the problem with keeping BK another year. Everyone knows he is a dead man walking. Will make recruiting this class and 2018 very difficult. Then the new guy comes in and the cupboard is bare. If ND moved on BK now at least it could be said he left the program in better shape than he found it. After next year that is unlikely to be the case

Reports are that he committed to OSU. The program is being driven into the ground by incompetent leadership, while our rivals (UM and USC) and other local schools we compete with for recruits (OSU, PSU, Wisconsin) flourish.

Good for him -- I hope he goes to OSU and becomes an AA.

Ouch. lol This is why I couldn't cover ND, I'd sour grapes my career away.

Film don't lie Jamie. He's fine now unless he has some condiition where the bone spurs come back quickly.

covering a team you are a fan of is just a recipe for disaster IMO, you need to detach yourself from the emotions of being a fan i'd say. At the same time I'm sure there is a bunch of cheering in the press box at CFB games

I agree.

I don't think ND has been in a worse place since I became a fan, and that's saying something.

To be this bad, struggling this much in recruiting, while practically every single rival and local school is flourishing.

Michigan is coming off back to back 10 win seasons.
Ohio State has lost only 5 games total in 5 seasons under Meyer. Kelly has lost 5 or more games in 4 seasons during his tenure.
Wisconsin is in the B1G Title
Penn State beat Ohio State and is in the B1G Title.
USC is arguably the hottest team in the game right now.
Stanford had a solid 9-3 season.

Hell, Michigan State is horrible, but we can't even gain any ground on them, because they beat us.

Woe, the f*ck, is us...
