Well we finally seem to have a little closure on this whole ordeal with CJ. His latetst Instagram post makes it pretty clear he will be transferring.

Are players back on campus yet?

I believe so. I've seen photos and videos of players on campus helping with camps, community projects/volunteering and off season workouts. I'm pretty sure all of the freshman got to campus this weekend as well.

CJ Holmes court date coming soon! Monday, July 2nd is The court date for his shop lifting charges to be dropped. We’ll know more about his status real soon!

There’s room. Just need to be at 85 by September 1st. Someone will leave. We were above 85 going into training camp a time or two in the last several years. Ashton White left ND two weeks into training camp last season.

Crap I mean two weeks before training camp for Ashton White, sorry. Point is there’s still a lot of time between now and September 1st. For example, ND has 17 scholarship DBs! I’d be surprised if everyone was still there come September 1.

I think whatever happens in court is irrelevant to his status as a football player at ND.

Seems like this was one of many issues Holmes ran into while in school. This was just the one that broke the camel's back.

The lack of communication with Denson and trust part. Either that was made up by the poster or it was taken down at BGI, because it’s not there anymore. And the thread was cleaned up and locked. My assumption is Driskell took a shot at Denson and the board melted down because of it. So it was deleted.

He definitely deleted that. In was in his initial post. Some started arguing back saying Holmes doesn’t have an argument for lack of trust after what he did, and of course Driskell started firing back. He also said Holmes was only suspended because the shoplifting stuff went public, and Holmes was just carrying a bag that belonged to Stepherson out the door. As if trying to say he wasn’t the one stealing. I call bs. The other thing that was bush league was he stated he knows for a fact other players have been caught stealing, and they never got in trouble, pointing back to the fact Holmes only got suspended because it went public.

I think it started with recruiting but not exactly sure. He’s just really committed to bad mouthing Denson on the regular. Which, in turn gets the board riled up about it. Pretty surprised that Lou S puts up with this behavior.

BD is delusional if he believes that the shoplifting debacle was the only thing that Holmes got booted off the team for, especially if his "involvement" in the act was limited to being an accessory rather than actually committing the act.

Obviously, there hasn't been anything confirmed, but it's been highly speculated and hinted by multiple sites that Holmes had several team infractions and I believe there was also speculation of him not getting things done in the classroom.

You don't just make one mistake like this and *boom* you're off the team.

I agree with the above assessments of Driskell. For the brief time he was on ISD, his general contempt for people who didn't agree with him wore thin pretty quickly.

If any one recalls, he was the guy who jumped on ISD's twitter account in 2014 to announce that KRuss was back with the team because he saw a guy at practice wearing a #6 jersey. Turns out it wasn't him and Driskell had to apologize. Pretty sure that was the beginning of the end of his tenure at ISD.
