Johnson is the favorite of the three. Would have to wonder if he'd get a look on offense if we got all three. (not likely of course)

It's one way or the other. Either he's just enjoying some free trip (I certainly would) or he's looking to flip. We'll see what happens.

I'm surprised more are not doing this. Bk has to say he is fully committed, our AD had to, really no dc or oc, academic sanctions, season was horrific, and last year we couldn't beat a good team. So, in the last two years we beat navy as our only good win, got destroyed by OSU and sucked this year. Right now we are a really hard sell.

You don't sell for a living, obviously.

Kelly DID say he's fully committed late in the night publicly after the USC loss. He was very clear. You seem to have a huuuuge hard on for $hit talking ND. Not sure how or why you get off on it. Seems like a pretty lousy hobby to me.

Nope, academically ND sells itself. But, people have to take a realistic look at our program. It is in trouble. You can say it isn't a tough sell if you choose. Right now I truly believe it is. I am an Alum, so I understand the Golden Degree. The football situation is far different. All of the coaches we are going against are making sure every recruit knows it.

NDfan, I am a realist when it comes to the sports side. I love ND, I am an Alum. But, sugar coating the mess is not good. Realistically so believe the football program is in trouble.

Now, the Badketball, Cross Country, Track, Soccer, etc. are in great position at ND. The Football Program is in trouble.

I think you need to take a realistic look at all your posts lately and realize that your pessimism is out of control. "Dumpster fire" this and "dumpster fire" that. How about the absolute stud we have starting at QB next season? How about returning pretty much our whole offensive line? How about the fact we're the only program with 3 rivals top 150 OL committed? How about Alize Jones coming back to the roster? How about the two All-American TE's that are committed to ND?.....I guess your answer to that last question would be "Notre Dame doesn't throw to the TE's anyways cause it's a DUMPSTER FIRE!!! Fire Booker! He's a DUMPSTER FIRE!" Pfffft. I swear,if you stubbed your toe you would find away to blame Kelly....

Good point on Jones. I hope he did get his academic situation fixed. But, it is a dumpster fire right now. And until LOI, transfers, coaching hires get situated it is a fire Then again Vancouver, overlook everything else, that is OK. I'm not tipping you. The great things about an open forum.

The latest from David McKinney at BlueAndGold.com confirmed the Cal visit. Hicks HS coach stated that Michigan isn't in contact with Elijah every other day but that he's committed to ND...for now.

Just used the ignore option on here for the first time on a certain sour puss......felt good....anyways some good news, not sure if it's been posted on here yet.....Per 247 Moschetti, Hicks' head coach stated that he has "no doubt that Elijah signs with Notre Dame" and that Hicks is extremely excited to ND regardless of the visits he's taken.

He always posts like that. Some see a glass half full, some see a glass half empty but olympiairishfan always sees a dumpster fire.

But...but...I've been told (repeatedly) that ND is a dumpster fire! This can't be true.

It's pretty clear that you are a new fan. Which is fine, the more the better. You're optimism is great. But, don't be naive in your thinking. Many things need to change inside this program if you want all of your optimism to be met.

It doesn't matter what recruits we have coming in, or the players coming back, the results are always the same. An average football team that wins 8-9 games a year, and sometimes above average, winning 10+ games but can't win the game the counts the most.

I love ND football, but I know what we are. Doesn't mean I don't get excited for every new season, but history has repeatedly told me not to get too excited.

The World Juniors coming up. Now, that is a reason to get excited. Canada will take the Gold!

What's the general consensus with Hicks at this point? Is he fully committed or 50/50?

Michigan sources/boards have been radio silent on him. I'm thinking he sticks with ND.

Mostly message board rumors but it sounds like UM thought they could get an easy flip here, and when that didn't occur, they went into coast mode with him. Still recruiting him but not pushing for him. I think his camp has started to sense that. As this point, I think he sticks as well.

Not so fast... ND just parted ways with him. Very interesting
