WILL VISIT FOR SURE --scout

coaches will sit down with him and discuss things as he was at 1 point close to committing to 3 different schools and communication really died down....so they want to get a clearer picture --rivals

This...I had heard from MSU friends that they thought they had the inside track on this one. But things have been quiet for a while now, so not sure but hopeful. Sounds like us too!

He is a top shelf talent...the only thing is that we are somewhat in it w/ craig-meyers, javon which we have a better relationship CURRENTLY...corley was destined to commit it seemed to ND and then just fizzled out

We need to tell Claypool he's playing LB to open up room for some of these guys. Also, I don't see how Stepherson sees the field in the off chance we get 2/3 in Javon, Corley and Craigs-Meyers.

Is Corley highly coveted?

he's highly coveted but at the same time very raw as a WR, would probably need a redshirt to get the more technical parts of the position ironed out. Quite similar to Daelin in many respects in that he's an elite shorts and tshirt football player who needs a little polishing

If you had to choose between Javon and Corley, who do you take?

Craig-Myers and Corley, who do you take?

Or are all three at the top of the board?

Just wanting to understand the big board a little better.

Tough question. I thought Corley looked really smooth at the 7 on 7 tournament. I'm tempted to say him because I think Mckniley and Claypool are similar. Big bodied receivers who are going to be very strong and tough to bring down once they make the catch. But I think Corley might be a better route runner than both. I think McKiney is a better football player, but Corley just looked smooth like a young AJ Green.

Craig Myers is visiting but not committing. We aren't leading.

Claypool shouldn't scare any of the elites away. He's got as much upside of anyone but he's not playing for a while. All the unteachables he has but he's raw, I mean raw, raw. It's going to take him longer to get there but when he does I think he's going to be a stud.

Stepherson is one who needs refining but nowhere near the level that Claypool does but I don't expect him to play early but sooner than Claypool. Those 2 are without question ones for the future.

If ND was lucky enough to get Robertson, he's one who would play from day 1. IMO he's the ideal replacement Fuller and could start from the get go if Fuller goes pro or as his direct backup if he stays.

Craig-Meyers is too good not to play from day 1 and like Robertson could start if there's an opening but there is no question he's seeing the field as a WR as true freshman.

Jasvon is better than the WR brought in the last class and could play as true freshman let alone start as a freshman for most teams but how loaded this team is at WR, I think it might be best to RS unless he dominates camp to the point that you can't.

As for Corley well he's going to a good WR probably a great WR and with others he could play early and often but like Miles Boykin will most likely RS because of no other reason other than the talent ahead of them.

Don't expect Craig-Myers, Corley, Robertson or McKinley to commit any time soon. Furthermore, other than McKinley, I can't see us landing any of those guys without a big season. But as you point out in your next post, the four I just mentioned are going to see the field earlier than Stepherson or Claypool and are immediate impact type recruits. I just wish we had more room for them.

I find it hard to see any WR from the 2016 class cracking the two deep. Top 6 WR for 2016 assuming Fuller leaves:

Robinson
Hunter
Esb

Followed by
Boykins
Sanders
Holmes

Guyton with a year under his belt doesn't make the two deep. And who knows where Brent will end up.

I could see guys like Craig-Myers, Robertson and maybe even McKinley jumping in front of Boykin, Holmes and Guyton. BK is going to play the best available, that's why ESB is in the two deep and CJ Sanders is getting a shot at PR/KR.

Craig-Myers

I really like McKinley but I've always said that Corley is one of my favorite WR's in this class because I think he can be put anywhere in our system and thrive, where as I think McKinley would have problems working anywhere other than outside. However, where Corley needs to get up to a more reasonable playing strength, Craig-Myers is a grown ass man with all the tangible traits you look for. I do love Corley's upside, though.

Boykin is on the cusp of actually playing THIS year

Craig-myers is a great athlete but missed all of last year w/ a SIGNIFICANT injury...he has looked good at camps BUT this year will be huge to see where he is at

McKinley--explosive wr, kind of like a tori hunter jr so he may not play as tori is going to be getting the bulk(not tori in the slot, talking on outside as BK mentioned he is able to play all 3 positions)
Holmes--man had high hopes for this kid..hoping he can get it going
Guyton---had a good camp as well...

you can never really pin point who will play unless some freak such as Alize or a jaylon come around...i certainly didn't think ESB was going to make as much noise as he did in camp to crack the 2 deep....just never know

Wish we just moved him to DB this fall. He has the length and athleticism to succeed there like Bennett Jackson. More likely to see the field there.

Boykins nearly made the two deep and might now even red shirt this year. Kid balled out this camp

Monday Recruitin' Would Dominate Freeze Tag | mgoblog

More 2016 Updates: Corley Timeline Change?

Michigan has made a big move to get back into four-star Detroit King WR Donnie Corley's recruitment but I'm not sure this latest news from Sam Webb bodes well ($):

“He was talking about taking all five official visits, but I think after the first month we’ll get a chance to see a lot of (teams) play,” said Mr. Corley. “I think we can go ahead and make a decision after the first month of college football. We’ll get to see a few games… about three games in the first month. So I think he can see how some of the offenses run, how they use their guys, and I think that could be good from there.”

If Corley decides that soon, I'm not sure there's enough time for M to overtake MSU.

if ND goes well in September and MSU were to fall to Oregon that might bode well for us

Anna: ND definitely moved up. He's coming back for the USC game. MSU and OSU running top 2 at the moment.

That'll be on his own dime. I think he commits to us at some point if he actually makes that USC game.

You sure? I thought he was targeting the USC game for his OV. This last weekend was an unofficial.

I'm wrong - I thought this was Robertson's thread. My bad. Corley was UO, Robertson has used his official this past weekend.
