As stated above he wears number 5 because of how much he liked watching Manti Teo. Both he and his mother met with Adam Sargeant and loved what he had to say/ND has to offer. His mother is really pushing for ND. Will start Junior Day activities today. From that article yesterday went very well.

Per Irish247, we're recruiting him as a LB at this time. I think he probably grows into a WDE. He says that he's 6'5 210 currently.

He definitely has the frame to put on 30-40 extra pounds. Would be glad to have him, but he's pretty far down the list my wants at DE. Much rather have Kareem (really want him above all) and any of Robertson, Okwara or Johnson. King too, but that's becoming more and more of a pipe-dream (if he even qualifies).

Dude just stop most believe Josh King's top two are OSU and ND. But ya some real pipe dream I guess

What you gonna do next compare Curtis Robinson's athletic ability to Jaylon Smith's? O wait

Scouting report: The 6-foot-6, 230-pound King has the build of a small forward, but actually is a state champion wrestler. He brings a unique combination of length and power at the point of attack to the defensive end position, and can also get out, run and track plays down all the way to the sideline.

Latest: King is preparing to make a tour of Big Ten and Midwest schools this spring. He would like to play his college ball closer to home and has no set time frame on when he will make a decision.

Leaders: Michigan, Michigan State, Notre Dame and Ohio State.

Way-too-early prediction: Notre Dame

To be fair GB, there has been speculation that King doesn't have the grades.

Very true, but Irish247 seem pretty confident that the staff believes he's I the right track for admission.

I was just confused why he is a pipe dream when a few mods think it comes down to OSU and ND. ND has as good of a shot as anyone

That's my bad. Wasn't worded well. I meant that he was a pipe-dream BECAUSE of the grades issue. However, if that is settled and he qualifies, then I like our chances to get him. ND is like a kid in a candy store right now with DE's.

As for the Curtis Robinson/Jaylon Smith comparisons, I stand by that. It wasn't to claim that Robinson is as good as Smith (that would insane), but he does have Smith-like athleticism, but he's a A LOT more raw than Jaylon and probably will take a few years to get anything near Jaylon-like production from him.

Ryan Bartow was at his school and came away saying it was a ND/PSU battle with PSU having the edge. However, Loy believes that mom is really pushing ND due to education.

We continue to be mentioned along with PSU as the top of his "top 10". I really hope we are pushing for this kid. This is one kid I'd really hate to miss out on.

Yes, yes I do and I think in a college S&C program he could be pretty darn good.

Was a bigger fan of Brown than Okwara before his commitment, but I don't know if they are slated for the same position or not.

Me as well, technically we're recruiting Brown as a LB and Okwara as a WDE. However, I think long term Brown is a WDE or a ROLB in a 3-4.

just visited psu again....wouldn't name top 3, 5 etc but ND and PSU are both in great shape and then said that he really wants to visit USC.......... Brown added that both Notre Dame and Penn State are in an excellent position to receive an official visit come September. However, he may also make a decision before the end of the summer, so that's something to monitor

Loy changed his CB to PSU today after speaking with Brown. Brown had a great visit to PSU and it seems they are pushing harder for him.

"I still have that top ten but it's trickling down a little bit," Brown said. "I'm going to release a top five on July 1. I'm still working through it, but as of right now, Pitt, Penn State, Virginia Tech, North Carolina and Wisconsin are looking good. I'm going to talk to my family and discuss it before I officially cut it down, though."

when Jamir committed it basically said no thanks to Cameron due to class size...will be a good player..actually Pitt is now looking to be at the top w/ psu

So one day later, VT and Wisci disappear and ND and USC appear? Not sure what to think, except he might be easily persuaded.

Loy said after this news ND is not really recruiting him anymore.
