May I ask, what's there that you like so much?

I like his footwork, arm and poise / decision-making a ton, and that was just off of his sophomore film. His footwork is advanced for a kid his age, he keeps his eyes downfield as he slides in the pocket (something some of our recent QBs have trouble doing) and has a really strong arm for a HS Sophomore.

I like him more than Rosen, and would much rather have him than another project like Gibson after taking Zaire and Kizer in back to back cycles. IMO we need more of a great passer than athlete back there for '15.

For me I take Gibson no matter what. I realize he's a project but if he doesn't pan out at QB he could be a pretty darn good WR. Also, I think his ceiling running the read option could be scary good. With that said we'd have to take another more polished QB if we were to take him.

Dillman/Gibson + Benevent/Morgan please

Morgan lives 2 minutes from me. Went to my rival high school. Trust me he might play the worse high school competition in the country. Now I'm not saying the kid can't spin it. But two elite guys won't go to the same school. So I agree if you wanna bring in two QBS that would be great. One dual and one pocket passer. Rosen/Brady White or Gibson/ Morgan. I really want rosen or Gibson.

I want Dillman/Morgan as my two QBs. Dillman looks like he has soooooooooooooooooo much upside. Physical specimen.

Rypien? I just did a Google... no idea that Mark Rypien had a nephew who could ball. 2015 is freaking loaded at QB. We should take 10 QBs.

TJ on II thinks we might have a shot here because his family is Catholic, has some ND fans (of some kind) in it, and he seems to fit both ND and the offense and what we want to do. His uncle Mark went to UW, which is definitely the leader right now.

This is just his sophomore film (haven't seen any Jr film yet):

Just watched some Dillman highlights - he is a great athlete and a physical specimen, but I don't love him as a QB for us. Don't like his mechanics and I have questions about his arm strength.

He is a kid I would normally take in a heartbeat, and if we can grab him with a more pure passer that would be great (not holding my breathe). But I think that in '15 after taking Zaire and Kizer we really need more of a passer than athlete at the QB position.

Which QBS dad played at Oregon. We should start a 2015 QB thread

I'll second that idea. I think you are thinking of Kyle Kearns, who's been hearing from our staff quite a bit. His dad played at Oregon. Not sure if it was QB but it must have been.

With it being such a deep QB class I actually think we have a real shot at convincing a Dual threat and a Pocket passer to come in the same year.

Beneventi's got a truly bizarre arm motion going in that tape. Seems to be pretty accurate but I'd be scared about what his arm strength is going to be a few years down the road.

Beneventi goes to my lil bros high school I saw him during their scrimage end of august. He did not look great, now im not saying he cant be but if we take him hes going to be a BIG project, He theoretically would have time to develop given who is ahead of him at the present moment that could change. But I think this QB class is too staked to take a flyer on him

Good work so far fellas, awesome thread with the highlights right there. GB I think it's Drew Lock from Missouri.

Redskin legend Mark Rypien went to WSU I thought? Am I wrong?

Here are my thoughts:
-Rosen reminds me of Clausen. Just a really pretty ball. Don't know how much upside he has, but there is no doubt he would be AT LEAST a really good player.
-Dillman just has so much upside.... I think he's my favorite.
-Similar logic with Gibson, but he is more of a ATH than QB. Both he and Dillman have "playmaker" written all over them.
-Brady White has a great blend of so many different attributes. Don't know about his upside... can he be a game changer?
-I like Morgan and Beneventi as #2 guys. Nothing more. Sorry, we need a home run in this class.

A bunch of others I have yet to watch film on.

Drew Lock is a stud. Mizzou lock IMO though unless he realizes Mizzou will always suck at football. If he tries to play basketball to he'll probably go too Mizzou I think he has an offer for both from them.

Wiltfong always mentions Lorenzo Nunez so might want to throw his name in the discussion

Dual Threat from GA
