I wonder if this will hurt Henry's imminent commitment any?

I still think Wimbush looks more like a runner than a QB. His highlights were a lot of run plays. More than I would like from a QB. My opinion though.

Of course it does (imo). Henry had a "freeway" without any QB in the 2015 class and if Winbush commits, it is a totally different perspective for him. And it is not an ordinary QB, it is a very good one.

A) If Henry is as good as advertised - like #1 QB in his class good - it shouldn't matter

B) IF it DOES matter, we still would have two less QB commits than FSU for the class of '15

Either way, Irish in good shape. As others have noted, bird in hand... Just have to hope Henry is as confident in his abilities as most of us are.

I really hope we get this guy, a QB every year is where BK needs/wants to be. I repeat, the ONLY years we have "struggled", four losses, is when BK is without a good signal caller.

To be honest Golson struggled during 2012 and he was not even asked to do much. Kelly has said as much as he rode the defense into the championship This might be the first year we actually have a QB operating the offense Kelly wants.

The other school Henry is seriously looking at is FSU. I think they have at minimm 3 QB commits for this class.

Because they desperately need depth. François is the only real threat for Henry and Wimbush is even a better prospect. The other two "Quarterbacks", in other circumstances, they probably would not be a take for FSU.

I mean, Winston will leave and the backup is this guy:

is this flip a possibility this weekend??

Loy seems to think so and made it sound like it's been set up for that. With that said I wouldn't expect one. I expect that we blow him away and he goes back with mom and takes sometime to think it over.

Say what you will about Maguire's high school profile, but the guy made some big plays when he had to

Man reading Penn St boards is a trip... Just oblivious to the issues they had and vile things that they say about ND and Kelly. Wow.

Yeah, better to entrust your future to a school just emerging, semi-broken, from a shutdown scandal involving systematic, and possibly condoned, pedophilia and a lack of institutional control implicating the head coach, athletic director and university president, than play for a guy like Kelly who does seriously evil things like yelling at his once in a while.

Yeah. He did win that Clemson game. It does appear though, that FSU's about to enter a QB vortex kind of like what we had the last few years. Even if they get Henry, he's probably at least two seasons away, after this one, from being the kind of QB they need.

Quote from ESPN article posted at 12:35 yesterday. Penn State fans seem to be taking this quote as writing on the wall and are resigned to the eventual outcome. We can only hope.
Notre Dame Fighting Irish hosting B1G committed prospects - ESPN

"It’s not a Penn State negative, it’s a Notre Dame positive. I’m seeing the positives of Notre Dame and what it could play in my life," Wimbush said. "The roles it could play in my life over the next four years. It’s not something down on Penn State, it’s that Notre Dame could give me opportunities."

Offer now please. With the bad luck we've had at recruiting QBs lately, the staff can't pass up an opportunity like this

He's already got an offer per the services I believe.
I think Kirkland is the one waiting for an offer post BVG review of some film.

Not much from Rivals. Still committed to PSU, but has plenty to think about.

Generally, we win these PSU-ND battles.

Deion Walker, Ishaq Williams, Jarron Jones, Mike McGlinchey, William Fuller, Josh Barajas...

Haha, love it. No info but gut says we get this guy. It seems that Everrett has turned into a good ambassador as an African American QB for ND and kids are taking notice.

I agree with that, wimbush and Henry would continue that trend.

Crazy awesome if we pick him up. Can you imagine the 5 year depth of Golson, MZ, Kizer, Wimbush, and Henry for the next several years to come.... Good lord to have even 3 of those.
