All we can hope for on California kids is that they don't mind the cold and they are looking at the big picture of getting a degree. The CA recruits whose main goal is to make it to the NFL and experience the party life of college won't (and shouldn't) ever pick ND. They truly have to be a mature kid interested in developing into a great citizen.

C'mon lets be real here. For the most part, kids come to ND to win football games and have national exposure, education is secondary. Winning football games is the key here. They don't want to travel across the country and live in the cold to lose. Period. Win and they will come.

It is not like CA is lacking good education. Cal, UCLA, USC, and Stanford are all top schools in the nation.

This crap is forcing me to root for Oregon. I honestly think the Ducks are the only thing standing in the way of SC becoming a true powerhouse again. Other than their mediocre coach that is... but I'm not sure even Sark can screw up with this much talent.

The sanctions hurt as far as depth goes but they have NEVER suffered on the talent front. That would be incredible finish!

Arizona, ASU, UCLA, along with Oregon will hopefully keep succeeding and competing for the talent. As much as I don't like RichRod he has done very well so far in the PAC12. Kelly at ASU is a good coach that will hopefully always be competitive against USC as well. Oregon is all about who has the reins at QB.

I thought I remembered him canceling it though, and this rescheduling is 100% because of Harbaugh. However, this interest is not only because of Harbaugh, U of M was always a school he was looking at.

Iman Marshall isn't coming to ND and there isn't really one person who thinks we have a chance. I am sure he had a great visit to ND and understands what it's all about. He's not coming here, his parents didn't even come on the trip. He's been to USC and UCLA probably 245 times goes randomly goes to weekday practices. Comfort and familiarity is huge in recruiting and he just doesn't have it with ND. I am not saying every recruit is like this but I have been following recruiting a lot longer then you and every mod and national analyst is saying he isn't leaving LA.
