He was the only OL that we were in contention for that I may have taken over Nelson. Kid's a beast.

I would rather have "Q!"

I am not sure that 2 deep at ND now isn't as good or better than starting at Miami this year as Sentrell is gone. Bzzzz.

Starting as a true frosh is impressive in any case, but how was Miami's OL last year?

Miami had a pretty solid line last year....but lost a the right side of the line. K.C. gets to play with his brother Shane who is the starting center and a pretty solid player. I would have to say that oline has probably been one the teams strong suits being coached by Art Kehoe.

Remember the video of Alquadin Muhammed roasting that Miami Olineman in spring ball? Safe to say they needed help on that side

Agreed!

My point is about the depth chart at ND. Even if the starters at Miami are as good as Stanley Martin, Lombard, Elmer, and whomever, (which I don't quite buy) the ten behind that are far behind those at ND.

Nobody seems to get that depth, and its value.

But it is a great job by KC! And I still wouldn't give up any of the ND freshmen, especially Alex, and "Q!"

Finally, I would put KC's parents, dad especially in the group with Justice Hayes' and Alex Anzalone's. That never works out at ND!

I think that kid that he roasted was a walk-on or low rated freshman.....

Blasphemy! Do you think he'd be starting for ND? I would've loved to sign him as a complement to Nelson and that class but Nelson was a great find, he's already impressing and we have serious depth.

I still like Alex Bars more, especially in the long term. As much as "Q" and KC are making waves now, I am not sure either have as high a ceiling as Alex Bars.

I'm not quite as high on Bars but I sincerely hope you are right because that'd be two mammoth OL prospects playing with very high ceilings.

For eleven years, the number 52 has been worn by a McDermott at Palm Beach Central. This Friday the number will be retired by their high school. Tyler(Notre Dame graduate assistant), Shane(Miami center), and KC(Miami tackle) will be at their high school for the ceremony. Last year's top recruit in Palm Beach County, KC McDermott, choose Miami over Notre Dame. This year's top recruit, Tevon Coney, has committed to Notre Dame. Sometimes it pays to keep your foot in the door!
