I think Irish Nation would welcome him back with open arms. We had a dialouge with his mother on this board and on top of that all of the passion shown from his de-commit shows how bad we wanted him. Both he and Tuitt would be huge for us almost as big as Teo with less of a shock factor to the fan base Although this sudden turn of events certainly adds to an anxiety level I have seldom felt ..... until 2012 recruits start coming aboard

I was going to buy a Rivals membership now to read those articles and follow the end of recruiting, but it claims my credit card is invalid. Apparently Rivals hates Canada or something.

This happens to me all the time as well. The worst is the zip code pumps at some of the gas stations.

I'm sure when a kid moves away from the only influences, some negative, that he has known, his academics may improve. We all know as high school students sometimes academics aren't the first priority. Get him around some student athletes with good academic practices and you may be pleasantly surprised.

I'm not saying that I don't think Aaron can succeed at ND. I just think in the past this might have been a guy that we passed on because of his academic profile. But with all the academic support in place I think maybe admissions is willing to allow a few kids in per cycle that they believe can be successful given the opportunity. Again I have no real proof of any of this just a guess on my part.

He's going to be coming to Notre Dame. I knew when he showed up with the Irish shirt that he was. Everyone on here brushed it off but I had a feeling he was having second thoughts and really believed that he would be coming to ND. I'm not really sure who else will be joining but I think Lynch needs Notre Dame as much as Notre Dame wants/needs Lynch. He was one of my favorite recruits in the class and I really hope he finds what he is looking for.

Wow this is awesome glad too see this. I was one of the ones questioning his decommitment here but i was wrong and made a dumb comment. This kid has alot of talent i hope that we can make him and his family feel right at home.

That's just ridiculous. They certainly seem happy enough to take my VISA when I drive down to Buffalo. Are they just upset our dollar closed above par today?

There has got to be a way to get a Rivals membership from Canada.

If he does come to ND then everyone on here who bashed him should send him a personal, hand-written apology note.

I know it's a long shot but can you imagine lining up against Tuitt, Lynch, Williams, and Councell (who I think is way underrated)?

Game planning against that group would be scary. Would want to have a good punter.

I won't. He will be my least favorite player in fact.

I have to disagree. These kids are 18 years old, they have every right to reevaluate important decisions. Kids have recommitted in the past, ND should be open arms if he recommits, they need this kid.

Christ guys get a grip. He didn't kill someone, steal something or something else illegal. My god he's a 17 year old kid and decommited from a school that's it. Did he probably not handle it correctly? Yeah, but he admitted he didn't. I did a lot worse things when I was a senior in high school

Calm down guys. I don't think he's traveling on his own dime. It will be an official visit. He never took his official like he was suppose to back in November.

We're setting ourselves up for a big let down. Let's wait and see what Aaron decides.

actually the fanboys such as yourself need to get a grip...i cant believe the love fest for a kid that still may not end up @ ND. its like he has already re-committed for some of you...

like Winston Wolf said, "well, lets not start sucking each others D's just yet gentlemen"

This thread is less than 8 hours old and already has over 12,000 views. There is a passion with this kid. some good, some bad, but mostly good I think.

I hope it works out but either way, it's fun!

From what I've heard from my people here in FL is the same thing that is being said everywhere. He and his mom have a strong love for ND and that is truly where he wants to be, the problems started when people (coaches, friends, recruiters) started putting it in his head how hard our academics are and making him question whether he could handle it or not.
