Minneapolis Star-Tribune reporting Henderson is expected to pick Miami.

Wow... Really?.... I guess he likes the weather?. I would respect a decision to OSU or even USC, since they are bcs championship caliber teams... I don't see Miami in that mix at all.

As long as Kiffen's daddy's around to keep his little baby on his feet, USC could be winning all their games on talent alone.

Why Miami?

South Beach

"I love the night, I love to boogie ..."

It's a disco song but it fits a comment he made last spring. He stated a preference for a citylife.

All I'm going to say about this is...

If I were a top flight recruit and I had my choice of school. I would pick a university with high prestige and dignity. A school that would mature me into a gentlemen. A school that makes a better person. I'm not trying to say ND is the only school in the country that meets this criteria (Because they certainly are not).

But what I'm trying to get at is USC meets none of these criteria. They are proven cheaters with a sub-par graduation rate.

They are a terrible school with a horrible history.

USC is junk.

Best of luck.. I guess?

The U$C guys just want a quick ticket to the NFL, not an education. I'm happy with James anyway.

You are spot on with the NFL ticket... you should add the "hunnies" too.
Education is taking a back seat nowadays.

And James seems like a classy hard worker... He'll do great imo.

Everything goes down the way it is supposed to, we are gonna be just fine. I will take B-Kelly/M-James over L-Kiffin/S-Henderson anyday. Different things are important to different people, if all you care about is honeys and paychecks, usc is for you and ND is not.....best of luck to the kid, except when ND is kicking his trojan ass.

Way to pull out a "So I married an ax murderer" reference. Well played.

Best of luck to you Mr. Henderson.

Kiffin must be a great recruiter, but he seems like a real ass. I heard an interview a couple of minutes ago on ESPN 360 and he said, in commenting on USC's class vis a vis UCLA's, Well, you have a certain number of kids who want to go to school in LA and -- I quote -- "it's pretty easy to see which kids go to which school....." What a low class, big mouth. Give me BK any day.

I have a pretty extensive list of people who I would like to punch in the face, and I would say Lane Kiffin is top 5 currently.

But you aren't going to school to become a gentleman. You are trying to become a pro football player.

It is pretty tough to even speculate what these top flight recruits have to go through. They are treated like gods and have everything thrown at them and more. You can't say "I would do this and this..." because you don't know.

I was recruited for basketball by mid-major programs at best and it blew my mind what went on. And that was 20 years ago. I can't imagine what kids these days go through with the amount of money at stake both for them and for the programs. They are eighteen year old kids.

How much were you focused on prestige and dignity at eighteen? I was focused on having a good time and getting pussy. That was about it. You can't apply a value assessment to something that most of us have really no clue about since we have not been the #1 CFB recruit in the nation.

I wish all these kids today the best. Right now, they think it is all going to be great times, but they will soon find out that major college athletics are very, VERY difficult. There will be days where probably every single one of them will question today's decision and whether or not they made the right one. This is big business. They better have very thick skin.

Good luck to them all. I hope they all work hard in the classroom and on the field and get the most out of the college experience that they can.
