A lot of buzz today about Judge and his college football career that didn't happen.

Harbaugh was all over him and Judge seems to have remained a Harbaugh fan.

Some stories say ND offered, some say they "recruited" him, others say they were interested in him.

So who knows for sure?

Well one things for certain, he would have been a Joe Staley LT prospect. I had no idea he plays at 285 lbs. This dude would have been 325 in football form.

They may have recruited him but I am pretty sure there was no scholarship offer.

And it was just another moment that made Mike Huber -- also Judge's football coach at Linden High School -- sure that his gifted senior should accept one one of the many Division I scholarships he was offered.

They came in white envelopes from Notre Dame,
Stanford, UCLA and Washington. And there were others.

So when Judge took a partial ride -- on a pitching scholarship, no less -- to play at Fresno State, "it was actually kind of shocking," Huber said.

"There wasn't anything he couldn't do," the coach added.

My 8 year old grandson is a huge Yankee and Judge fan. Last Fall, his Mom entered some sort of sign up for a free 4 hour clinic with Judge at Fresno State(where he attended college). I accompanied them out (Logistics Coordinator and $$ Man). Grandson was one of 5 kids (out of 300+) singled out at the end of the clinic. From what I could tell Judge was a pretty good guy with head on right. Great memory for my grandson (who takes batting lessons from Patrick Mahomes' dad, ex-MLB Pat Mohomes, Sr.)
