would've loved to have the seen an Irish Gray backfield but best of luck to Cyrus and I wish him all the best unless of course ND faces A&M then screw him.

Now it's time to put the effort completely in getting Milton Knox and get that done, hopefully he will have his grades soon so Charlie & Co. can give him that offer.

i hope he does well, he went to the place he feels he can do the best at and i respect that, i also can understand with the Depth at ND why he didnt want to come

As can I but the Rival sites for A&M as well as ND don't have him as a commit yet and there is a new article out that says this and don't worry guys it's just the headline that everyone can read for free.

Gray coming closer to making a decision

Monday night rumors were flying about DeSoto running back Cyrus Gray and that he might have made a decision on his college future. In an exclusive interview with AggieYell.com, the Rivals100 prospect talked about his forthcoming plans, and set the record straight on his commitment plans. Click here to see what Gray had to say in this exclusive to AggieYell.com.

The Rivals database has it down to ND and Texas A&M as mediums with everyone else. Maybe it's not over yet.

Can't win'em all I guess. Looks like we'll have to deal with what we got, poor us.

This was the longest shot we had left because our young depth at RB. Would of been a nice grab but totally understand his decision...best of luck!

I guess when we look back over the last week, you can see he was showing signs of wanting to be close to home, but thats what makes it fun- not knowing and trying to guess along with a 17-18 yr old as he makes the choice.

Good luck to the Aggies- glad he is not a gayter.

Just read on Rivals that it was a rumor, and he didn't commit and he's down to ND and A&M.

I did some research and reading on this because I have nothing else to do. I checked Aggiesports.com, Dallas Morning News | News for Dallas, Texas, Scout.com - College and High School Football, Basketball, Recruiting, NFL, and MLB Front Page, and College Football: Rivals.com - College Football. The only one who had anying to say about a committment was the aggie insider from scout. After my reading , I believe it is down to ND and A&M in no paticular oreder. Here is what I find interesting-he had to cancel his official visit to A&M this weekend because of finals but yet he intends to announce late this week or next week before his A&M trip on Jan 25th. I dont know if that is a good or bad thing. It could be bad because he already knows he wants A&M before his official due to his several unofficails there. I just dont see him committing to ND then taking an official to A&M. He was visited by Sherman on Monday then called Sherman again that afternoon. To commit? To tell him he was going elsewhere?

I still suspect he will go to A & M but the timing of the announcement isn't necessarily bad. He could always cancel the visit after making his announcement for ND.

This is my first time posting here, but I've been reading the boards to find out if you you guys were going to get Cyrus. Take it for what it is, but this was posted on TexAgs this morning.

"I don't have any stars and don't pay for the M&W report, but my parents work at DeSoto High School and both met Coach Sherman and Cassidy yesterday morning. In fact Coach Sherman came to my moms 1st period class! Cyrus is going to be an Aggie and according to his Sr English teacher, he is one of the best kids she's had in 30+ years of teaching."

Good luck to you this year. Hope you guys rebound.

They probably leaked the article too early and then had to retract it ...
