I am not saying that he is a guy who backs out on his word, ala Little's. I am saying that I believe he wants to stay in the South. No disrespect meant to Page. He has done nothing wrong in the recruiting process, just feel he is a southern boy.

I believe they also used that visit as an opportunity to say hello to a Jr at Page's school too.

Page has been tearing it up in the Shrine Bowl practices, and RJ Blanton mentioned that he has been trying to work on Kenny.

There is some new info leaking out that Kenny hasa eliminated ND along with a few other schools and he is now down to S.Carolina and Clemson. If this turns out to be true I guess that I'm kind of suprised that Tennessee would be out too.

Kenneth Page Visiting Clemson this weekend (VIA ESPN.COM recruiting updates)

RB Jamie Harper headlines long list of expected Clemson visitors
The Tigers are slated to host a star-studded group of uncommitted prospects this weekend, the Spartanburg Herald-Journal reports.
The list includes, running back Jamie Harper (Jacksonville, Fla./Bartram Trail), outside linebacker Jerrell Harris (Gadsden, Ala.), offensive tackles Antoine McClain (Anniston, Ala.) and R.J. Mattes (Concord, N.C./J.M. Robinson), and offensive guard Kenneth Page (Columbia, S.C./A.C. Flora).

This kid is NOT coming to ND, so let's just move on. He is a southern boy thru and thru. Can I say Little.

K. Page would definitely make ND's recruiting class #1 with his verbal commitment. In my opinion, he would be a starter as a freshman.

Agreed. Page isn't going to be Irish.

And how on God's green earth would he start on the OL if he did?

With the crazy nature of recruiting, it's absolutely ludicrous to deal in absolutes. I have to laugh when people say "This kid is NOT coming!" or "This kid is a so-and-so LOCK!!!"... It's really ridiculous, and I don't know why people continually stick their necks out by saying stuff like this.

The fact is, even if there's inside info, nobody but the kid is sure of where he's going, and often times even the kids aren't sure.

Quit pretending like you know more than others or have some innate ability to tell where a kid is going or isn't going. These kids change their minds constantly.

And that is the only really "lock" there is in recruiting.

Not every kids recruitment is as chaotic as KP either. Since he has been to visit ND he has said that Tennesse was the best school he ever seen then after another week Clemson was his favorite. When you follow recruiting long enough getting a read on these kids get a little easier.

I've seen kids being described as a 100% lock to a certain school, based on inside info from recruiting sites - I mean people were dead sure of it - just to see the kid pick a different school when it came time to announce.

When I was a senior in high school I couldn't even decide what to get at McDonald's let alone where to go to college when there are 20+ big time programs chomping at thebit for me.

The word "lock" shouldn't even be allowed in recruiting anymore.

Don't get me wrong, I don't think he'll go to ND either... He said he was blown away by his ND visit, but then turned right around and like you said gushed about his UT visit... The kid doesn't know what he wants yet and is obviously very impresionable... His comment about distance not being an issue is good for ND though.

I'm just saying that a lot of strange things happen in recruiting... A lot of 11th hour stuff happens that we likely will never even know about.

I will use that curse word LOCK for this kid. He is a LOCK to stay in the south. I will bet my blue and gold jock strap on that one. I really wish he would become Irish, but just don't see it. The article on "Distance Not an Issue" was just a smoke screen. Sorry guys, this kid just won't come north.

Finally some news today...... Page was interview today about his official visit with Clemson this weekend. He said everything went well and would rate it an 8 out of 10. The person doing the interview later asked which of his 4 officals stood out the most and he said Norte Dame because they were impressive and everything was first class.
