He coached 12 seasons at ND and won shit load of football games. Freeman spend at least a few seasons at ND and win a shit load of games before the complaining starts. If he can’t win as much as Kelly did at ND, then ND isn’t the problem. Freeman is.
I thought he possessed impact player upside. Huge loss for the class. And, although I didn’t think he was a S long term if he was indeed viewed as a S recruit. S recruiting is looking rough over 2 cycles.
Why would Freeman be upset at ND for this? He chose to recruit and accept the young man’s commitment. He either didn’t do the due diligence or he took a gamble and it didn’t pay off. This is on Freeman either way.
I love it on paper. Text my Brother-In-Law that this is a sneaky good skill group.
But, if Fields isn't ready next year or maybe 2, then the WR core is likely a moot point. Depending on the assigned value of Moore, I might've preferred to get another draft pick.
I think that's something to get excited about. I'd give it an A-. I'd give it an A+ but I wonder what value was assigned to DJ Moore. Without knowing, I might've wanted another pick.
As evidence by his statement above, it was clearly important to more than just a few of us here that he set the record straight. That speaks for itself.
You don't have to "carry water" for the University of Notre Dame in order to make a more measured statement about the value the school presents a student athlete versus just dollars and cents.
I guess I appreciate his honesty but I'd like to have that quote back. On the big stage he's saying he'd go elsewhere for the money. C'mon Isaiah. Don't do ND like that.

While he was somewhat of a late bloomer he wasn't that lite. He left HS in the 280-290 range. As a HS Junior he was already up to 260+. He played his entire Senior year as a legitimate OT prospect. 247 took notice and gave him a meaningful bump. Others just didn't.

I can appreciate the debate but I don’t think it’s much of a discussion really. While TB has been fun to watch at times. He’s not even remotely close to the QB Hartman is right now. He might be someday but he isn’t right now. Recruit the best roster you can for 2024 behind Hartman.
I'm not a Bears fan but my Sister, brother-in-law, and close friend are. So, I tend to get invested in the happenings of the organization. I'm fully captivated with these upcoming, potential, moves.
I think Hartman is going to go a long way in helping some of these young and talented WR's realize their potential. Tobias, maybe, being the biggest beneficiary of that.
Made the switch to BenMo as my avatar a week or so ago. Realized it was time to move on from Hamilton. Should've done it last year. Jaylon to Hamilton, now BenMo. He's been anointed.
