    Because Arsenal... haha

Saw that when I woke up this morning. I've only been an Arsenal fan since 2010 (Thanks FIFA!), so I don't remember all the great seasons and players like others do. I've done my research, watched countless Henry highlights, read up on and watched a few games of the Invincibles, etc. so I know...

That back heel flip by Welbeck yesterday... It's easy to give him grief (see the blunder in front of goal late yesterday), but man, sometimes he can really do some positive things. I think having him out their as a wing with other, more lethal strikers, while he's on the wing is much better for him.

I agree. This smells like what has happened too often in MLS... old, once great superstars come here as shells of themselves, which draws interest, but doesn’t actually more the needle in the right direction in terms of building the overall quality.

    Arsenal get CSKA Moscow next.

SMDH... So, punish a club because of a cat, and fans throwing stuff... Stuff that they have almost no control over in real time, but sure teams can TOTALLY pay (literally throw money at problems with 0 checkbook balance) for promotion, superstars, and league titles even with FFP. Love it.

Here it is I feel. Classic Arsenal (of that last 10 years). Too far out of the Premier League, so somehow they will find a way to get to the Euro Finals, make a run of unbeatens in the EPL and finish 5th or 4th (GOD KNOWS HOW!) and Wenger will say, "I am very please with this team's tenacity. I...

Agreed about the competition aspect with football. I would argue that, at least, in shared stadiums conversion from football to soccer (and vice versa) would have to be an easier task that football to baseball (though thank god that is almost done, looking at you Oakland).

They do. I think the important part of moving to a schedule like Russia's would be to have the MLS get split. It would be hard IMO to justify having an Aug.-May schedule with 30+ teams in one league, especially if you incorporate a break like they do.

    Everything Soccer

Does anyone here think the MLS will ever adopt the Aug.-May schedule? Would really be interesting if done, though I don't know how well it would go in the USA/Canada.

Right. Because only those clubs that bring in the most revenue are allowed to most likely afford a large signing (duh!). Hence, the rich get richer. Should work for Arsenal since our fans apparently pay more than any others in the PL to attend games... It's also something that will cause teams...

I think that example doesn't really hold, because they still lost a wage to gain a wage. Plus it was a straight swap (though I assume there was/will be money being transferred as part of the deal). Still your point stands. What PSG did to get Neymar? No way that should have been allowed.

From what I understand FFP was supposed to cure two things right? 1, not let a small club just explode on scene, spend an astronomical amount to become good and then ruin themselves because they are so far in debt. 2, not allow the big clubs to buy all the players they want because at some...

It'll be interesting to see how the attack plays under Wenger. I love what Wenger has done for the club. He is a hallmark. However, it's time. He needs to get out, and Arsenal need to rebuild. There's some talent to build around, and with a fresh manager, Arsenal could be fun to watch.

He's a very good signing, and I think he is an upgrade over Giroud. Plus having an attack of him, Ozil, Mkhitaryan, and Lacazette... That's dangerous. Throw in Iwobi, Welbeck, Ramsey, and Wilshire Arsenal should put the ball in the net a lot. However, The back 3, or 4, or 5 whatever it may be...
