Yaya Toure, how could we have missed him till now. Definitely deserves at least a mention. When he is at his best he can completely control a game, and his finishing from 18-25 yards or so is exquisite. Laser precision.

Only guy not mentioned who might appear on my top 15 list is Alexis. The guy is just a dynamo up top.

btw, notredomer, who starts for City this weekend? Aguero, or Bony? Kolarov, or Clichy? Not sure who's fit and who isn't.

So I started a Togga BPL fantasy league. We had our draft last night. (I got Hazard with the first pick ... pumped) https://www.playtogga.com/welcome Anyone ever done one of these? I am normally a complete fantasy hater, haven't been in any league in any sport in years, but I am kind of...

Paddy McNair and Jonny Evans? Not sure if they count as world-class but they are the only ones I can think of. Naismith is Scottish. I have always been a fan. He and Charlie Adam might have a shot at getting into the England side. I'd love to see the UK field one team in international...

I don't even know if it was "most" of last year; I would've just said after the AFCON. I remember watching early season games last fall and thinking he was the best midfielder in the league. Then he left for international duty, and when he came back I couldn't even believe it was the same player.

City looking dominant today. And to think they still might add De Bruyne to this midfield ... crazy.

Ha this was definitely part of my rationale in picking a BPL team. The ND parallel is pretty obvious. Lost greatness, northern team, detractors say they have trouble recruiting due to diminished status, etc. Lfc didn't exactly win convincingly today but I am still optimistic the new...

I agree, Palace played some great football, especially after Pardew came on. I can't believe they haven't sold Yannick Bolasie yet. I thought for sure he'd move on to a bigger club.

Ah ok, I think we are on the same page. I agree, in 2014/15 teams like Barca, Real, Bayern, PSG, Juve were all better than any EPL team. But I think the EPL is the league with the deepest talent pool. And no wonder ... I think I read that all 20 EPL clubs were among the 40 richest in the...

So when people say BPL is not the best league in the world, they mean that Bundesliga is? I guess they must. Last season I watched a fair amount of BPL, La Liga, Ligue 1 and Serie A, and no question in my mind that BPL is the best of those, at least in terms of top-to-bottom quality. So if...

Yeah I'm a Liverpool fan so I will def watch those matches, but how much other EPL stuff I watch as opposed to Bundesliga may depend on how good Fox's coverage is. I really like NBCSN's Match of the Day and Goal Zone shows. I usually don't have time to watch them on the weekends, but I put...

Serie A is becoming like La Liga, although to a lesser extent ... top-end teams have plenty of cash and plenty of quality, but lower-end teams are hurting for both. This year we even saw Parma go bankrupt. Crazy.

Everything Soccer They were totally different players, weren't they? We are comparing a 6 to an 8. Keane was a hard-working, hard-nosed, intimidating defensive midfielder, but he had nowhere near Stevie's passing ability and ball-striking ability. Stevie is one of the top 5 passers I have...

Right, he shows flashes of brilliance going forward. We have a couple guys who can get forward from the outside back position and make something happen, but not enough we can rely on. Timmy Chandler was disastrous in what I saw of this Gold Cup.

I tend to agree. In the grand scheme of things, there wasn't really THAT much at stake here. It was a good opportunity to experiment in a competitive situation.

Totally agree. He has been the only bright spot in the few Fire games I have watched.
