Well this is quite the curveball especially since demo at Arlington just started. Daily Herald reporting that the Bears are looking at properties in Naperville as well.
The Bears probably do what they can to get their best remaining 3 tech since the Bears beat won't shut up about how the 3 is the engine of Eberflus' defense.
100% on Cunningham and Poles. It's almost that we have 2 GMs in the front office considering Cunningham will be leading a club in 1-2 years. Wouldn't be surprised if we trade up today for an interior guy.
Interesting to hear your take on Pace... I've heard conflicting stories about him
You can make the argument that tonight is more important for the Bears with 53, 61, and 64. If only the Bears could have held on to their original 2nd rounder in the Claypool trade.
Might be an unpopular opinion but a little disappointed the Bears only got a 4th out of it. You knew who the Eagles wanted and Carter could have also filled a need. Maybe Poles just viewed it as a free pick and moved on.
Unbelievable that Poles had a double trade back ready to go but the Texans backed out. The bears reportedly could have had 9, 12, 61, 2024 1st, DJ Moore, and apparently a player from the Texans.
I think the trading back twice scenario was based on the Bears trading back to 4 instead of 9. However, since this is a deep class at OT, trading to the mid to late teens looks feasible which wasn't necessarily discussed before.
The Packers have $40.3M in dead cap from the Rodgers trade so if...
Brad Biggs was on 670 this morning and he brought up how Jaylon Johnson probably will have to earn his next contract this season. Definitely lines up with the sentiment that the first person getting an extension this off-season is Kmet.
