Brian Kelly to LSU, per report

Which version of garbage, ersatz Notre Dame experience did I enjoy more? The one where we found a way to beat Toledo and Ball State, I guess. But the real stuff is dead and gone.

The shocker is that they aren't including Dante Moore in there. I'M JOKING

'23 TX QB Jackson Arnold (Oklahoma Verbal)

Be a lot easier to take the argument for Rees seriously if his defenders stopped trying to dress up a recruiting loss as a win.

2023 - State of the Recruiting Class

Can anybody think of ND commits that dropped hard in the rankings but turned out to be killers once they showed up?

'24 MI QB CJ Carr (Notre Dame Signee)

Like I said, I can see it both ways. Is there a slam dunk example of a QB that reclassified to skip their SR year and killed it in college? I'm sure there's a few I just can't think of any.

'24 MI QB CJ Carr (Notre Dame Signee)

Agree that another year at Saline probably isn't worth it, but I think the ideal situation developmentally would be a senior year of high level HS reps. The baseball analogy would be that there's a reason you don't drop your 1st round mlb draft picks into AAA. He's certainly older than most...

    Tommy Rees - Offensive Coordinator

Their numbers were not good, by any measure. They gave up six yards a carry to App State and four yards a carry to Georgia Southern. The other game was against the 67th ranked offense...in the FCS.

'23 MO RB Jeremiyah Love (Notre Dame Signee)

More excited about Love and Edwards than I have been about any skill position recruit since Michael Floyd. Under any kind of coherent offensive leadership whether that's Tommy or not these two will be stars.

    Marshall Postgame

I'll wait for the film eaters to chime in, but it feels like this was a much worse game from the offense in almost every respect than the previous one. Esp. regarding game planning/play calling. Doesn't seem encouraging that this is what we get with a regular week's worth of planning as opposed...

    General team info

The OL is a real mess, no doubt. But it's possible to miss the forest for the trees with that line of rhetoric. He's ultimately the one responsible for the offense, and he's had enough time to get a better looking product than that on the field.

Guessing Swarbrick won't be sneaking into frame this week.

What could happen that would get you to say "yeah I was wrong, Tommy wasn't ready for this and is a major part of what's wrong with the offense"?
