Seems like they just updated and dropped Tobias to a 90. Now Braylon James is somehow ranked ahead of him in the WR transfer rankings.
So it seems like they don’t even know what they’re doing with the rankings.
Yeah, I can’t imagine weather is going to be a big factor in his decision. He’s only going to be here for about a year so I’m sure he’s willing to be cold if he thinks it’s the best place for him to play.
By the same token it isn’t catastrophic either - ND’s top receiver had less than 500 yards, no other receiver even had 400 and most didn’t even have 300. No receiver had more than 27 catches. That’s from a year where they were playing with a QB who is the all time leading passer in the ACC...
Yeah, seriously. I don’t want to come off as a jerk, but there are only so many places open. There’ll be over a thousand or two thousand players enter the portal in December.
It’s going to be a rude awakening for a bunch of guys when they realize that they’re going to have to go to the G5...
Less than they had transfer out.
ND had 12 out last year and 7 in.
Last year teams that kept the same coach:
Alabama had 21 out and 5 in.
LSU had 21 out and 14 in.
Georgia had 16 out and 4 in.
Ole Miss had 31 out and 15 in.
FSU had 22 out and 12 in.
Oregon had 35 out and 15 in.
Clemson...
Texas and USC had 20 transfers last off season, Michigan had 14, Alabama, Washington and LSU had 21, Oklahoma had 25, Georgia had 16, Ole Miss, Oregon and A&M had over 30.
This is what college football is now.
I don’t get why people expect guys with 1 year of eligibility left to stay at ND when they were going to be backups. While it’s great for ND that they would stay, not many kids would rather be back ups than have a chance to start in their last year, even if it’s at a lower level.
Yeah, I hope there will be at least one depth wideout picked up in addition to two guys who actually play. Maybe a Freddie Canteen type who is fine with not playing.
They’re bringing in 3 recruits already: Cam Williams, Micah Gilbert and Logan Saldate.
Wasn’t the plan to take two transfer wideouts? Maybe they take 3 now.
It will get figured out. This is the new normal, unfortunately.
I’m not a big Leonard fan (but hoping he shows out with ND), but I’d much rather have him than Howard - I don’t get the Howard hype. His best season is worse than Leonard’s and he’s less athletic.
Howard started one full-season, and K State brought in Adrian Martinez from Nebraska to start over...
While he may plan to transfer, I’m pretty sure he cannot be in the portal until next week. Only players who are grad transferring or who had coaches leave can be in the portal now.
I was about to ask - are we sure he’ll walk on as a QB? Teddy is supposed to be quite athletic, I assume his twin is similarly athletic.
I wouldn’t be surprised if they tried him out at a number of different positions.
I wouldn’t wish Matt Canada on my worst enemy. Thankfully the steeelers finally fired him this morning! I’d have to give up watching ND if they hired him as OC.
I actually wouldn’t be that upset if the Steelers hired Tommy Rees. He can’t be worse than Fichtner or Canada.
Am I the only one who thinks that Putuporshutup or Giddyup are just 1988’s (or whatever other variation he’s used) day-to-day account?
Then when he really gets angry he makes a new account so that one gets banned and not his day-to-day one? It just seems like they are less extreme versions of...
