And we know this how? Overindexing on last season is never safe in college football but especially in the NIL era there’s just no way know how good a team will be.
I actually thought Boise was a fringe top 25 team heading into this season based on their roster.

Join a conference wouldn’t solve that. LSU played Clemson yesterday. And Texas plays OSU next week.
Those are the extreme outliers, the vast majority of conference teams played scrubs. And none of those games are anywhere as meaningful as this is to us because those teams all have chances to dig out of early season holes that we don’t have.

Defense has bent but not broke. They haven't been great, but credit to Wiscy for some nice play calls/designs. They're mixing things up and keeping us from really pinning our ears back. Not perfect, but I'm not overly concerned in the grand scheme of things.

SIIIGGGGHHHH

The offense, on the other hand? Yeah, concerns. Firstly, the OL looks mediocre at best against a...not great...Wiscy DL. They aren't opening any lanes in the run game and aren't keeping C.J. clean.

Secondly, the RBs look absolutely terrible. No, the OL isn't giving them much to work with but that doesn't mean you run ahead full steam into a mass of humanity. 16 runs, 29 yards, long of 5. FIVE, in SIXTEEN runs. That is embarrassing. Note to Denbrock - STOP CALLING RUNS UP THE GUT.

Thirdly, the new WRs? Where are they?

Fourth, horrible half by Denbrock. Terrible.

At this point, just get through this without anymore injuries and hope this is just another early season wet fart and there is better play ahead.
