His resume speaks for itself considering where he's been. He has the horsepower of the ND brand under Marcus Freeman behind him now.

When you said that this was a great hire - I believed you, because you know your stuff...but I think you were wrong...you WAY undersold this hire. Not just great but GREAT.

It's not so much I know my stuff, it's that I know the person. My experience with him 24 years ago was fantastic. He was one of those people who comes along into your life, however briefly, and has an impact. I can't imagine how he's changed the lives of his players. I was a grad student.

We'll see. He has yet to coach a game and his product has yet to play one. I just know his resume and what he's done from start to this point. He now has a brand and resources behind him like never before at the college level. My expectations are high because I know what he and the program are capable of based on past experience.
