It's hard to rank all the pro prospects over since the beginning of the Kelly era but he might be only under Quentin Nelson for me.

If this game comes to be, I'd actually go the Bill Parcels route. Have Moore lock down Brandon Innis and double cover Smith all game. It does feel a bit poetic that MF and ND fans get the OSU monkey off the back en route to a national championship.

I'm sure they are loaded, I don't know much beyond Smith and Inniss, but they lost Carnell Tate, Bryson Rogers, Mylan Graham, and Quincey Porter. Will be really interesting if they suffer an injury.

I'm not saying I'm right but I like the approach. Tate was far and away their #2 and those targets will now go to Inniss. If you can successfully make their #2 a non factor while Smith is doubled, they have problems.

I'd rather put LM on Smith and double Inniss. Better chance of LM staying in his hip pocket and forcing QB to look for #2 where he sees a double and now has to figure what he's going to do. By that time the rush should be in his face.

If you have LM on your team, don't overthink it by putting him on WR #2 all game or using your other DBs to double WR #2. LM is a generational talent, and if anyone can shut down Smith 1-1 it's LM. Jahdae Barron for UT held him to 1 reception for 3 yards in 2024.

That wouldn't really surprising considering Henry's talent and the rest of the WR room. Plus Smith already came in and lit it up for OSU as a freshman just two years ago.

I wouldn't mind doubling Smith, the idea of Tae Johnson over the top waiting for an errant throw tickles me.
