So let’s assume we get through Folo’s announcement and Vaughn is soon as anticipated. At that point you’re at O’Neil, Vaughn, and Folo. I think Parks becomes the only essential as a true blue chip NT.

At that point Sesay and Fakatou are your icing on the cake.

One is a must. The other is icing on the cake

I think both Coleman and Hawk end up consensus 4 stars. Very Talented guys to have in the "bottom half" of your class
Hawk is already a composite 4⭐ but Coleman would need to come up 450 spots! Crazy a 6'3" WR with legit 4.5 speed as a Soph is so low.

Burrell trending to Michigan on on3

Gavin Williams looks USC bound

Yo if they have threads let’s go ahead and use them. Easier for people who seek out updates hours/days later

Some chatter that ND may only take 2 WRs. Not enough money for all of the potential DL and OL to also take a 3rd WR. Would have to assume that means Coleman and Jones.

Torn on this one. I have no idea what Cooper is asking for, and with both Bettis and Fitzgerald showing promise at boundary behind Porter and Gilbert, maybe it’s not a huge need. But getting a big strong WR who excels at contested catches is never a bad thing. I guess if the choice is Cooper or a player(s) like Fakatou or Simien or Olu, I get it. But wish there was a way to take all who want to come.

Some chatter? From where? Can we get sources?

Link? Not taking a third wr seems odd because we just got Gayles to schedule an ov

It’s Mike Frank comment on some random thread l, it’s not a pinned update. I can’t link it right now but it talks about taking 2 WRs.

Mike Frank mentioned it in response to someone else’s post. Not Cooper specifically, but that ND may only take 2 WRs in order to pay for DL/OL. I implied that meant no Cooper, given we already have Coleman and seem to be strongly trending for Jones. Add the fact that Cooper just got offered by LSU, who I’m sure will overpay, and 1 + 1 = 2

Gotcha. Interesting Gayles is scheduled for June 20. Maybe by then they will have an idea of how much money they have left bc the negotiations with the big boys should be over

I wonder if they view Gayles higher than Cooper and that he's a take no matter what unlike Cooper. I still think you take at least 3 WR's, but they know the budget better than me and if we're going to stay elite we're going to have to be elite on the LOS

Agree on all this. If they think Coleman can be a boundary wr, going after Gayles to play in the field would make sense.

Driskell also made similar comments on his show. That the staff would be happy with Coleman + JJJ. He mentioned that the current WR depth chart is deep and very young.

14 WR on the roster ; at least 7 with Freshmen year eligibility (not sure on Porter). Only 1 exhausts eligibility this year - Faison ; only 1 with just 2 years in Greathouse. If they like the room and don't anticipate huge attrition, I could see a 2 man class.

Lock up elite DL now - seems a wise use of funds. They don't get any more plentiful or cheaper down the line in the portal.
