A mutual friend of ours (to unc) said that he thinks it will untimely be OSU, but ND is in the mix. He just doesn't feel like OSU will let ND win this battle especially with what's happened over the last week. Word is Tech offered the biggest bag, we've both heard between 2.5-3.5 but he would like to play for a contender. His uncle doesn't want to ruin his moment, nobody saw Mich happening after Bama...and they liked the surprise element for the fans. Again, just relaying TIFWIW

I guess Seider is a big big fan.
I'm holding out hope, dammit! Let's keep pissing in osu's cheerios.

Singer is saying that some other reporter believed that Gray was leaning Mizzou. But their team from On3 believe ND is clearly out in front.
Portal closes on Friday regardless of when you entered correct? Does that put guys like him in a bind to fit in visits?

I had to fuck with my OSU buddies and told them that Jeremiah Smith is secretly in South Bend on a visit. Wants to play for a good QB and is ready to leave the Jr college for the big leagues since Hartline left

Since classes started, can he commit (sign?) with ND, finish semester in Oregon, and transfer after spring?

Not ideal but is that the logistics of this one?

Obviously each player has their personal reasons for why they consider the schools they do.

But come on Gray, you can’t possibly choose Mizzou over the Irish ☘️ Come on home big fella

ND has until 1/20 for classes to be added or dropped. As long as he is enrolled in classes by 1/20, it doesn’t matter if he misses this week of classes. It’s like he just decided to drop all the courses he would have taken this week and signed up for all new courses. Jan 20th is the key date. I would assume the reason he’s likely to commit when he comes tomorrow is he would then immediately move in this weekend and start classes on Monday.

He could also enroll to start at ND over the summer.

My guess is that they've decided they'd like the frosh QBs (and maybe Hebert) to duke it out over the spring and bring in a grad transfer as a backup over the summer.

Wow. Is it me or is OSU having a pretty rough go of it since the Miami loss?

Yup, basically losing half the roster between portal and NFL, I'd be pissing my pants if we were in that position. Im sure theyll still be top 3 in the B10 but man that is a lot of talent walking out the door.

Was looking through the transfer portal thread on their 247 site this morning just for the reactions to ND cleaning up and its....not great over there.

They're really not feeling great about their secondary or LB rooms. It's basically just them trying to convince themselves that Bryce had no QB development and he's going to breakout next year leading to them out scoring teams.

eh, with absolutely no inside knowledge, i'm guessing that they tried to run it like that had in years passed, i.e. the marsh convos for a month before the portal opened, the kicker who bailed, etc. but when that didn't pan out they pivoted and i wouldn't be suprised if they put the call out to some trusted agents to say something along the lines of "we have $2 million for a boundary receiver" just to see who popped loose. And I don't think they were the only program to do that.

If there is a lesson here it's probably: this year's portal will not look like last year's. Next year's will not look like this years. Everything is still too frothy for that to be true. Got tighten up on the evals, academic process etc in anticipation of needing to quickly change strategies, probably more than once, in future portals.
