I attended this game today.

Not only was this a bad loss, this was bad product on the cout.

Their transition offense is horrible, drive to the court to draw a foul, draw a double team, they stopped every time.

I don't recall them leading at all in the game.

Even my wife commented that this was the most boring Notre Dame event she's attented.

Haralson is not a one-done, he is definitely not NBA ready.

If not now for Coach Shrews, when?
Most likely this year. This team is not deep at all nor are they any good. They still are set up to lose a LOT more. Doubt they win 17

I like that they have Haralson or Mohammed bringing up the ball with Burton out, but why not put them on the court at the same time.

This would be my starting 5- Certa, Shrewsberry, Haralson, Mohammed, Towt. I think Certa could handle bringing the ball up.

A poorly coached, inconsistent team with injury problems year in and year out. Let's squash the basketball program and stick the money into football. Please??? 🤣
Im biased but pour it into Mens Soccer...anyone know the coach personally for my twin 08 boys? lol

Who the fuck is this team? What a bunch of losers. This is up there with losing to Northern Illinois
the MF’n Mastodons son 🐘

Was there to root on my alma mater and it was incredibly hard to not clap along to the fight song out of pure muscle memory.

The Dons exposed ND’s great shooting capability by eliminating their penetration that leads to open spot 3’s and were simply more physical throughout the whole game.

ND’s normal 3’s didn’t fall with some looks and that really had them out of sync as well.

This was the first men's game I attended in years. We played down to the competition.

Harrelson looked lost most of the time. Scored mostly on his natural ability but I am not confident he is a point guard that can effectively run a team and its offense. Mohammed was even worse. Certa is not good at defense, his value is in shooting 3's and he did not come close on his missed attempts. Towt played hard but was not his normal self. Imes and Shrewsberry played well and gave full effort.

I like what we attempted to do on offense in the first half with lots of screen and off ball movements, the boys were not able to execute effectively. Second half we went to a lot of isolation for Harrelson and it did not work. Pick and roll was largely effective in the second, but we still opted for isolation most of the time.

It was a bizarre game. Plenty of opportunities to get it right. You find a way to win the two on the west coast and you are back on solid ground. I think you have to have two of Harrelson, Imes and Mohammed on the floor at all times. No way you can run a college offense built with one ball handler especially when Harrelson is better suited as an attacking 3/wing.

People still calling for more minutes for Mohammed. I’m not seeing it. What is he good at?
Agreed. He was very poor yesterday. However, your only true point guard right now is Imes. But strong athletic defenders can make life difficult for him. So you need help between Harrelson and Mohammed until Burton gets back. Unless Zackary somehow gets up to speed and can be another option, which I highly doubt will happen. At the very least you have to get Mohammed to be a functional ball handler.

I just seen a joking tweet about JR Smith committing to Louisville. Found it hilarious after seeing the above, catastrophe.

Which former ND player could ND get back that left early, but never played significant minutes in the actual NBA? For fun, Europe leaguers are able to come back.

Mark Zackary was in for a couple mins in the first half vs Stanford.

Irish up 22-17 at half.
ND: 28 Stanford: 16 total rebounds

Shrews must have really lit them up after PFW… they’re out-hustling Stanford to every ball and rebound. Stanford hasn’t gotten a clean look this whole game

This team does not know how to win. Always letting teams back in the game when their foot is on their throats.

Haralson is our ball handler, has been in the entire game essentially, but cannot be trusted to close the game for us because he can't hit free throws and is turning the ball over every other possession now.

For the love of everything Coach Shrews put the ball in the hands of someone else.

Win is a win, especially on the road. Stanford is on the fringe of being a quad 1 win if they have a nice ACC season. Not quite sure how they got to 11 wins because they’re a brutal watch
