University Laboratory School is .57 miles from Tiger Stadium.

It's literally on LSU's campus.

It's LSU's lab school so yea. lol

I know I was stating the obvious. I'm just shocked about this.

Apparently ULS is a premier school in the state and they take academics very seriously. With the school motto of "Total Effort in Every Endeavor," I hope he wants to put the effort in academically and go to Notre Dame.

Have we ever had a play maker in the last 15 years come from LA? I remember a few years back or so we were in the top 3 or 5 for some but ultimately chose LSU or in McKnights case USC

I wonder who the favorite is right now...

Although, Landon Collins did choose Alabama over LSU earlier this year.

Arnaz Battle was the last one, it's been awhile.

I live blocks from UHigh and have several friends that went there/teach there. Every student athlete there is different, and it is by no means a feeder school (athletically) for LSU. Many of my friends that went there chose to go out of state for college because of the proximity and familiarity with LSU. It is a great school, academics are very important, and that may weigh a factor.

It should be noted that the competition that UHigh plays against is not up to par with some of the great programs in the state. Not taking anything away from the athlete, and you cannot fault the program for the conference that it is in, just an observation.

Also, Les Miles' kids go there, so yes, there is that familiarity with the LSU program.

Spoke to a friend who teaches there. Apparently Tim has a young child and has made no bones that he wants to stay close to home for his family. Not an LSU lock, but that is a factor in his decision.

Really can't fault him for trying. Could be one of those things where he knows he can't get a guy like this just yet but is trying to get connections and the pipe line laid. Keep him as interested as possible for as long as possible.
