That's how it's marketed, but it's a very poor choice for home defense. The .410 shot out of a such a short barrel doesn't achieve the necessary velocity to penetrate sufficiently (only 4''-5'' in flesh), and the shallow rifling of the barrel makes it extremely inaccurate when firing .45s.
Classic case of trying to do too many things in one platform and doing none of them well.
This makes with the 45s but is it so inaccurate that you can't hit center mass at 10 yards? That's all the accuracy you need in a home defense situation. And I would think the low muzzle velocity of the .410 would make it ideal for close quarters. 4-5" would do the job on the intruder and the decreased force at impact would decrease wall penetration and reduce risk of striking someone on the other side of the wall. Just a thought.
I would agree with you. It is good for what it is. You aren't going to be doing any long range shooting with this thing!
I want this KMP-MkII Monolithic piston drive AR $2499. I want it realy bad. The American version of the AK. As well as a Colt 1911. Great guns.
Haha, no. Would be fun to take out a few squirrels with it though. Just sayin.
Ruger makes an excellent piston driven AR.

What's with the shells in the stock of the image? Is that just a storage spot? I've only seen the stock wraps for shotguns.

My pump action 30.06 still the best damn deer rifle I've owned.
My 30-30 just something about a lever action that makes me feel like "I am rolling"
Colt 1911A1 just feels perfect in my hand.
On my look in the sights list
