Wow I did not know there were so many. Thank you.
In answer to your PS, (non-spoiler version) it is a character from the comics named Michonne.
SPOILER ALERT
The two zombies are former friends/lover who are used to
ward off walkers. Michonne is a serious badass in the comics, i assume the
show will depict her in the same way
She is a mamba momma from the publicity photo. A Pam Greer figure, with sassy looks.
Is that a mysoginistic comment I detect?
There are several choices for the writers. They can make a percentage of the population immune to the virus. They can make the living population susceptible to different symptoms, (e.g., Shane, Lori, etc.), or they can allow this whole thing to degenerate into a simplistic good versus evil premise. If the later happens, I'm outa here. If the former does, we just might have TV that has evolved to a greater form of expression . . . .
I think you are giving the writers way too much credit. I love this show for the zombie-survival theme, but it has had lazy writing in season 2. I felt nothing really happened to significantly further the plot with the exception of the last two episodes. You guys may disagree, but I found everything that happened prior to that was filler. I am so glad they are finally off the farm and am intrigued about the new hooded character with the katana who saved Andrea (who has come quite a long way from wanting to kill herself in season 1).
Season 2 has definitely been underwhelming. The last two episodes were pretty good, but other than that the rest was just painfully slow and too dramatic. I don't turn to amc for days of our lives drama. I wanna see a zombie apocalypse and the impact it has on people's humanity as well as the action that comes with it, not who's the baby's daddy and other dramatic filler.
Also, the women have been portrayed terribly on this show. There is not a single strong female character on this show. They're all developed so that the viewers hate them, especially Lori.
Additionally, giving the token black guy absolutely no role of importance really pisses me off. He's just there so that there's diversity in the group. There have been episodes in which he was literally not in at all. And in the ones he was shown, he had no dialogue.
The also need to show more survivor stuff like scrounging for supplies, constantly being on edge and looking around, making preparations for a surprise horde, etc. They need to start making pipe bombs, bile bombs, molotov cocktails, and have gas tanks and cans to blow up, and a defibrillator nearby. Pills and adrenaline shots should be used regularly, especially in zombie battles. Finally, there should be a renewed emphasis on melee weapons including but not limted to guitars, katanas, bats, cricket bats, frying pans, crowbar, fire axe, machete, police baton, and chainsaws. Oh and don't forget about dual pistols. Dual pistols are always epic.

Why didn't Dale turn into a walker??

Tend to agree with all but the dual wielding pistols part.
Daryl shot him between the eyes
Daryl shot him in the head.
The only time I'd use anything other than dual-wielded pistols in Left 4 Dead was when the freaking Tanks showed up. Love the dual-wield. Though I doubt they'd have unlimited ammo haha
Don't be so naive. Dual pistols always have unlimited ammo.

New episode tonight. Hopefully this season starts off with a bang!
i don't think it's a new episode, it's just the pilot in black and white.
