Distance Medley Relay for non-track types. I remember a lot of discussion months ago about how good our track team is... yeah, we're not a historical power but we're very good and won the Big East this year too.

The only things I can think of are if he wanted to have a guaranteed starting spot from day one, or if he didn't want us to recruit other cbs...

I searched pretty hard for a Notre Dame track forum and this was the first I found (8 pages deep in non-football athletics.)

I watched a Notre Dame 1500 meter man win the national title the other day and thought that he deserved a shout out and "good on!!"

He did it in ND fashion --- a tremendous will-power come from behind to nip the opponent at the finish line.

Applause to you Yared Nuguse for one heckuva race. (very well-spoken guy who was a credit to our school.)

Yared Nuguse ran the second-fastest indoor mile in history and broke the American record, winning the Millrose Games Wanamaker Mile in 3:47.38.

Very cool for the ND Alum, Yared Nuguse. Fastest US Indoor mile ever. I remember we did a dorm wide "South Quad Sprint" for a dorm spirit week type deal and I think it was Yared's freshman year. Absolutely smoked all of the NARPs in the dorm lol.

Yared lived in my dorm his freshman year, he’s a really nice guy and a great representative for Notre Dame
