Lots to like about that film. Looks very comfortable in the pocket and moves around well under pressure in there, but also throws well on the run and made some great plays scrambling. He's a good runner, even if they are calling him a "pro-style" QB. But yeah, lots of QBs on offer for a year in which we need at most 1.

My guess is that we will need to throw out a bunch of offers. Especially if Golson or Kiel starts (which one of them will, imo). Top QB's dont dig sitting around for three years to get their chance.

My hopes are that one of the dual threat offers pops. Especially if they come in with the understanding that if they get a couple years to beat out Golson/Kiel, but if they get to their junior year and haven't surpassed them, then Kelly can use them as a WR/RB. Just typin' though.

But why? Last year I thought CBK was very adamant about just having 4 qbs to coach. Is someone leaving next year that I dont know about?

I guess that's the fear. I think the rationale for recruiting at least one QB every year is that it's the most important position on the field and you never know when a guy or two is going to pop an ACL or get homesick and transfer to Hometown State or whatever. You don't want to have depth problems at QB. I thought it made sense to go for a dual-threat guy like Aaron Bailey that could be moved to RB/WR, like Wooley suggested, but I can definitely see why they'd pursue Austin Allen. He looks like a real steal. Great-looking passer who is not getting the offers from the USCs and LSUs like Cody Thomas is.

Arkansas, ND, USF, Auburn, and ASU are his early standouts.

Brother plays QB at Arkansas and his dad is an assist there as well. Not to mention it is literally right down the road.

I have seen this kid play multiple times Has an very good arm and is very accurate on the run. Brother is a back-up QB for the University of Arkansas. His dad works for the University of Arkansas. I am saying he will have some interest... but ends up at Arkansas with his brother and dad.

Just imagine how proficient he is getting at them with all of his practice. No wasted time making up recruiting lists.
