Just my opinion, but if this kid does not go to USC, I'll be shocked. Another kid that is using ND. Why,IDK.

This kid is an absolute monster. Him and Shumate will make a dominant safety duo. I think it's a deadlock between ND and USC. Every win is important next year. Have to show progress.

It's most definitely not a deadlock between USC and ND. Not even close. USC is his dream school. He was waiting for that offer. At first he was disappointed b/c they offered him at FB, which isn't where he wants to play. But once he told reporters that, USC got wind of it and fixed that real quick. He's been to USC TWICE already since signng day, and he'll be there for this Sunday's Junior Day. Hardly an even battle. But he'll be doing his due diligence and he'll definitely listen to other schools, which is something he absolutely should do. IMO ND will get a shot.

And yes, from all reports, OK is another school he is closely considering.

Just my opinion, but if this kid does not go to USC, I'll be shocked. Another kid that is using ND. Why,IDK.

How is he using ND? Sorry, but that's kinda ridiculous considering he's done nothing but take phone calls and say he'd listen to ND and try to visit. He's doing what he's supposed to do...listen to all schools. If you're ND, you absolutely keep recruiting him as long as he'll take your calls. You never know what could happen...things change in this game all the time. Not sure I understand your take here JD...

Agreed NDinLA, the kid hasn't even got an offer. Kids that get offered by SC usually don't use ND as an insurance policy, or to hold a space, the only two ways I know of "using ND."

smells like this years nelson...he may give us a shot, but usc will be too hard to beat in the end with the distance ultimately ending our chance.

Florida and Meatchicken for sure getting OVs. Others in contention for one: Oklahoma, Arkansas, Ohio State, Wisconsin, North Carolina, and Texas A&M.

Do we know yet if ND is getting an OV? Not sure if I missed it or not.

From a Wisconsin 247 article:
"Michigan, I've been watching them since I was little. To see Michigan playing in the Rose Bowl against USC and seeing them now play in the Sugar Bowl. Their defense just flies around, makes me want to take a visit up there also."

He obviously didn't watch the Sugar Bowl or any game Michigan played this year.

Yeah, but this is a smart kid, he's playing to the ego's of the fan base. What fan is going to let facts get into the way of a little reacharound?

@21Sua Tweet:

The three official visits I'm taking so far are Michigan, Nebraska, and Ohio State. Two more to decide on.

....west coast player - big ten envy??

Well we know why you are reporting it.

LOL - he's been seen talking up USC to other recruits while on one of his many visits there. Like I said a long time ago, this one was in the bag for USC once they offered him (as a DB, not a fullback)...

the recruiting game is so wacky ... he's going to "commit" in June, but he's already planning to visit three schools next fall, knowing that he'll be "committed" to another school (SCum) when he actually takes those visits. I assume that there are reasons why it has to happen that way, like maybe he is pretty sure that he wants to go to SCum but he can't afford to get out to Michigan to make absolutely sure on his own dime, nor can he afford to wait till signing day to say yes to SCum because the class might fill up (just a hypothetical, giving Su'a the benefit of the doubt; I don't know his circumstances).

All I'm saying is that if you say you are "committing" to a school when you know at the time of your "commitment" that you will visit other schools, you are not using the word "commit" in any normal sense. And that sh!t is confusing.
