this one deserves a second mention... best show ever.

Yeah- and one of the coolest things about this show was that Paul turned out to be Marilyn Manson.

True story.

I was in Hawaii the first time in the late 60's. I remember seeing some air scenes they were the filming over Pearl Harbor for the Movie Tora, Tora, Tora; It was weird see Japanese dive bomers swooping down near the Arizona Memorial. Also, we saw the filming a of a scene from Hawaii 5.0 and Jack Lord with James MacArthur (bookem' Dano) were chasing a girl who supposedly committed suicide by jumping off of a cliff. In reality, she jumped into a hollow in the lava caused by a local landmark known as the Blow Hole. It was cool to see the filming, but when I saw the final episode it ruined believing in anything I saw on TV again!

I was a great fan of Rat Patrol, until I learned that it was modeled after SAS operations in North Africa. Sorry, I don't have much use for those Brittish.

Has anyone mentioned All in the Family? Mash was great, but those two are the Gold Standard for TV!

Two shows that might help explain the "me" that I am today:

Sad to say, my original Mouske-ears didn't make the cut when my family moved from Long Island, NY to St. Pete Beach, FL in 1959.

I had red hair and freckles as a kid so was drawn to Howdy Doody. Bob Keeshan and his family were neighbors of my grandparents in Manhattan so this was another fave:

Something of a precursor to Laugh-In – another of my favorite shows.

My father broke down and bought a color set in 1971 (when I was a soph at ND) so he didn't have to watch the Irish football games in B&W.

Take that, Wonderful World of Disney [In Color!]!!!

Another of my favorites as I embraced being a contrarian:

What was the first television program to show a married couple in the same bed?

What television program showed the first interracial kiss?
