Difficult to allow for late defections like Decker & Darby also.

I'm adding Carlisle and Badger to this class too (not technically), so that makes it feel better.

I would even raise by saying that we need to beat AT LEAST one of scUM, OU or U$C. We not only need to beat at least one of them, but we need to beat one of them while they are highly ranked and we are the underdog.

Its time... it's been time for a long while now...

Could not agree more.

How many of these recruits might have thought more about ND should they have won a couple of these big games they imploded in last year? You know guys like Meyer and Kiffin are using that against ND in recruiting and it's time for that to stop and this is the year it has to happen.

I would actually argue that we should add Prestwood to this year's class and Carlisle to next year's. But point taken!

And the great thing about Prestwood is that he'll be on the active roster this fall.

I, personally, am very pleased with this class.

We filled a lot of needs, and got a lil bonus with Gunner showing up.

ND is not a "football factory" like Auburn, or USC....

The recruits that the SEC type schools get (or a lot of them) wouldn't pass admissions here.

Not to say that it's the said recruits fault, ND just holds their academic standards higher (as we all know)

Essentially, we're fishing out of an ENTIRELY different pond than any other institution....

Yeah,... I hate to beat a dead horse but this class would have been our best in a long while if Decker and Darby stayed on... now (not b/c of the loses) we have obvious holes in the class... O Line and DBs are a potential issue... still a good class though

time will tell

That sounds right to me. I totally agree with that.

Agreed, we need a break out season to show everyone that we are on our way back from the cellar... 9+ wins would do wonders for our football program...another 8-5 season and it will only get tougher come NSD next year.

This is why I was so down about this past season... ND is not in a position to have a few down years anymore... we've been there... have to break out soon or things are gonna get worse year to year... not jsut next year...

and this was the year to win big... sorry... nine wins is doable next year... but hard to expect anything beyond that...

had to have this past season...

I'm not predicting anything, but sometimes when you're not "supposed" to have a good year, you can be completely wrong and surprised (for good reasons)

And yes, I've seen the schedule for next season.

Just sayin, don't throw in the towel before we even get to the ring... (meant in general not directly at you ACamp)

I agree... and frankly... it has to be one of those years... or this past season will haunt ND for a while.

Agree completely with the latter part of your post.

Maybe it's just me, but I feel like we'll have a lot of "addition by subtraction" this coming year.

The more of Kelly's guys we get on the field, the better

I have said this also... Mike Floyd is one of my fav recent players... obviously... and this is NOT about HIM... make that clear...

but I think his absence may help the passing game next year... far too much reliance on MF this year... forcing Rees, or whoever, to spread the ball around more may improve multiple players at mutliple positions. At least I'm hoping... I have seen this happen before when the lone stud leaves... so it's not crazy

I listened to most of it. They basically just summarize our commitments. I didn't listen to what they said about Agholor.

They don't think we have any realistic chance at Darby. He Gone

They said Poole stated that he knows where he is going, and that's all. One of the guys (I think Sapp) said if he were a Florida coach he wouldn't be happy with the situation. They don't think Poole will flip but it's weird that he continued to let ND recruit him.
