I'm sure I speak for most of this board when I say that I am dying to know what purportedly happened between he and Cooks.

cooks prolly relayed the Gug message the wrong way. kelly should have been the one to tell darby exactky what ND was feeling/going to do about his "commit and keep visiting other schools" deal; as well as explain the right, diplomatic way who/why they were going after other cbs whilst ronnie was visiting other schools. kelly the politicina needed to communicate all this no offense to cooks but in hindsight shoulda been kelly so cooks didnt have to be the one down at ua game delivering the info-i bet he screwed up the wording/phrasing and this exacerbated darbys anti-nd feeling as he was swimming in a cesspool of anti nd environment dosn there (deion sanders, no nd commits, fsu commits in his ear esp track star bracy (fsu) and all the others

Every single sign points to him not coming to ND. He's decommitted late in the process, apparently asked to be removed from the ND bang bang group on f-book, loved his FSU visit (where they BBall team upset #1 NC), loves track, ignored our coaches and didn't let them visit.

He's gone, IMO.

It surprises me that there have been 2-3 already because Notre Dame and FSU are about as different as two schools could possibly be. Not a slight on FSU (okay maybe it is). I find it odd that a player can switch between those schools because you can infer that the player in question would have to have a complete change of heart over a variety of issues. Flipping between ND and Michigan would be a lot more understandable IMO

If he did turn down a Kelly in-home visit, then the chances of him committing to ND are very close to zero. (million dollar lottery close) We may not have dependable confirmation on that, but we have the next best thing...Kelly has not made the visit nor has any indication been given that such a visit is in the works. No visit no Darby and that is all there is to it.
