Answered my question...Anyway don't think ND will offer him he was previosuly arrested for robbery.

Jayron Kearse Mug Shot

actually in reading the articel "nephew of former North Fort Myers and NFL player Javon Kearse, has transferred to South. He started classes at his new school Monday, Wolfpack coach Grant Redhead said.

Randy Moss was involved in a school fight, far from a robbery.

So you are saying that fighting is worse than a robbery?

Maybe I should have worded it differently? Obviously the robbery is worse! Even if his fight was a racial fight that landed the kid in the hospital severely beaten. ;)

So we are all clear here that ND most likely wouldn't take him because of the robbery.

I understand what a lot of you guys are saying...But playing devil's advocate, Floyd had his share of troubles, and that was at the ages of 18 and older...We know he was still a good kid, despite his mistakes and undoubtedly redeemed himself. If this crime took place at the age of 14, who is to say that he couldn't have turned in around by now (3-4years)? We don't know the circumstances of his situation. With that said, I will not be upset either way if an offer is extended or not.

If he has multiple arrests showing a history of criminal behavior, then I'll retract the above statement...I just don't feel that one crime should define someone, especially if it came at 14.

Am I the only one concerned with a 2013 recruit decommitting from a program already? And on top of that, supposedly ready to commit elsewhere already sight unseen. And without an offer from that school.

For his sake, I hope the article is bogus.

I was just frustrated how down here in Miami, there is so much 4* talent down here. But the only kid's who get offers from ND are the one's that go to either St Thomas Aquinas or Columbus which are both private schools. But all the talent in the hood from schools like Northwestern, Central, Norland, Carol City, etc. Never get offers from ND. I'm not saying that they should offer kids who get in trouble with the law. I'm saying that they need to go to the hood and get them some ball players.

Could it be the fact that oh I don't know ND actually cares about this little thing called grades and some of those kids from the public schools don't have the GPA to be accepted or the course curriculum isn't the best and ND isn't setting them up to fail.
Just an idea.

This. One of the oft-repeated stances of the Admissions department when it comes to athletes isn't pure test scores or grades--it's whether the student will be able to graduate--something most SEC programs do not care about in the least. The curriculum, test scores, GPA and maturity year over year when it comes to paying attention to your academic responsibilities are all taken into consideration. ND has had more than a few kids from broken homes, low income areas, etc.
