Just watched the rivals video on him on the front page of II. He said that he is 100% committed to ND and that ND fans have nothing ton worry about.

PS his dreads are as good as advertised.

Staff will be making the rounds starting next week

And not a moment too soon!

That's refreshing considering the Tee "news". I always figured Darby would be the one to get cold feet. Glad to see that's not the case. Darby is going to be electric at the college level- so glad it's looking like he'll hold true to his verbal to ND!

I really wish Darby would EE, that would be huge for us. Think he would have a legitimate shot at starting.

Loved seeing Ishaq's Pred Dreads yesterday. Darby's will be better, only because he is so damn fast.

Ishaq got a few reps in at LB last night. I can't wait for next season to come already to see all these guys with another year under their belt with lifting and coaching.

Darby, Tee, Shumate, and Yuri will most certainly get reps next season. Depth alone will force them to play.

As far as I'm concerned Elijah Shumate is a done deal and announcing in 8 days.

I know this is Darby's thread so delete if warranted. When a kid doesn't start his recruitment until after his season is over and everyone is expecting it to go until NSD, then he visits and sets a date it looks pretty damn good.

Darby still all about the Irish
Despite constant speculation to the contrary, Ronald Darby maintains he is still firmly committed to Notre Dame.
"I'm still 100 percent," the four-star athlete prospect from Oxon Hill (Md.) Potomac said shortly after arriving in Orlando on Saturday for the Under Armour All-America Game.

Darby, however, said he hasn't cut other schools off. Southern California, Clemson and Auburn are still in frequent contact.

"I'm listening just to see where they're coming from but I'm still committed," Darby said.

Darby said he will take an official visit to Clemson later this month.

"They're a real good school," he said.

Darby took an official visit to South Bend on Sept. 16.

He done popped the Nitro baby!

There used to be an original NES game that gave its drivers a speed boost by using "nitros"...

The game was called "Off-Road." It was an arcade staple in many a Chicago-area Pizza Hut back in the 80's.

This is my 1st post guys so if I break any inside rules I appoligize. Notice the turf on the video. With the type of Players Coach Kelly is getting, hoping to get, at ND, a new field surface is a must. Also I love this site. Keep up the good work and posts. Great source for information.

Welcome aboard, we're glad to have you. The topic of field turf has been discussed in great detail in a few threads, so you would really enjoy reading those. Poke around the site, and have fun.

I absolutely agree about the players BK is bringing in. In the past we needed the Vietnam jungle grass to slow down our faster opponents, but these new guys are certainly going to level the playing field against the USCs on our schedule. Nitro could be the second coming of Devin Hester on a fast-track.

totally agree that we need field turf...i mean...don't we practice on field turf anyways?

That we do...played on it before...quite nice I must say. Never made sense to me that we practice on that but play our games that grass. Played in the dorm championship game a few years back in the stadium and the difference is like night and day...

In a UA practice update from ISD, Darby was outstanding in press man coverage, saying he locked down receiver after receiver. Wasn't quite as natural when playing off man coverage.

Cannot wait for these DB's to get on campus.

Will Diaco change the way he plays defense with guys who are great in man coverage?

I may be wrong here, but logic tells me that if I have a guy with 4.31 speed you should probably think about more Cover 2 Man over Cover 2 Zone. It doesn't make sense to let a guy as fast as Darby sit in the flats all day.

Am I wrong?
